Oh hey, more info I didn't know about, like longer names for things, I really hope this is true, I hate seeing abbreviations like Dowsing MCHN in this day and age.
Also, Serebii.net managed to point out a screenshot in which the boy seems to have on a pair of roller skates
And yeah considering the 3DS has the circle pad I guess now, especially based off of the new screenshots and trailer, you have much more directional range. Although who knows, they might limit it in certain areas.

How many single-stage, non-legendary/rare Pokemon are left, anyway? The number just constantly dwindles every gen when Game Freak picks a couple to mess with as a lazy way to fill the new Pokemon quota.
And have they ever even explained it? Like, Magby just fucking appeared out of nowhere and it's like "Magmar isn't born as a Magmar, it's born as a Magby!" or is there some kind of hush-hush gentlemen's agreement between regions like "We heard you have the baby form of Sudowoodo, let's keep it to ourselves for no reason or because we don't want to educate the plebs, lest they rise up and overthrow us."
How is grant money decided in Pokemon? Because it would be really useful to know just how adorable little Munchlax turns into the giant, road-blocking Snorlax. If there IS a tendency to keep this stuff separate, the professor's are being completely disingenuous to science. How are they still able to operate?
And maybe you can justify the baby Pokemon. They're little, they just stay out of the way and no one's seen them, right? But that Farfetch'd evolution? "This giant fucking person-sized bird looks a whole lot like a bigger version of Farfetch'd, huh? Let's just ignore it. It's not related to Farfetch'd. In fact, it's not even a Pokemon."
Which just makes the whole Pokemon being discovered and kept secret by the Pokemon Professor Cartel theory seem more legit, right?
Now, I fell off after Gen 3 and I wasn't into Gen 3 as much as I was 1 and 2, so maybe Gen 4 or 5 sorted this out. But seriously, what's the deal?

I hate single-stage evolutions as much as the next sane person, but it never fails to bug me when a new game comes out and suddenly there's this new evolution/pre-evolution that no one ever noticed before, as if Pokemon only started showing up 50 years ago. Then again this is a world where they explicitly say they don't understand how Pokemon reproduce (well I imagine that, like every other creature, it's either sexual or asexual. Take it from there, 'scientists') let alone how they evolve. And every gen another fucking Eevee form, and some other bullshit on how to get it given they've run out of evolution stones. And guys, the more legendary Pokemon you add, the less legendary they are. Less is more.

Well B/W added 155 new Pokemon to the mix all on its own which is how it should be. I don't think they added to any of the past Pokemon. Because of this, I find B/W to be a bit superior.
I even enjoyed the fact the B/W only had new Pokemon available to you until you beat the game but that seems to be the unpopular opinion I make my teams based off of only the new Pokemon of the region so it's always fine for me
Also, in the games, the Pokemon are flat out said to have been in their respective regions, at least, all along. Of course it's never explained as to why they don't appear in past games and to me it's not really important. Sometimes I'll wonder to myself when I'm playing, but again, I just deem it kind of unimportant. Yeah it's silly for all the reasons Shannon mentions, but eh... it's just Pokemon.
Single stage Pokemon have their advantages. It's like you're never waiting for them to get stronger because they aren't going to evolve, their stats are set already so they just keep getting stronger without evolving. That being said, evolving is exciting so... Also, I find that a lot of single stage Pokemon are overall weaker than most 3 stage Pokemon.
I think that Farfetch'd evolution has made the rounds on the internet before...
Anyway, I leave you all with this:
