DC is a mess. They've now cancelled more than twenty titles since the launch of the New 52. How many times has a new creative team been announced on a book, only for it to end up with someone else a week later? Ridiculous. Typical Bob Harras bullshit that drove Chris Claremont, Louise Simonson and Peter David away from the X-Books at Marvel in the 90s.
Well there is some good news at last, the covers leaked for Batman Incorporated seem to indicate Damien is going to die. The bad news is, God only knows how Bat Inc fits into the whacked DCnU continuity. It was meant to be completely separate, but it hasn't always been treated so, and we might end up still stuck with Damien.

Whiplash, I just read the most adorable scene between Harley Quinn and Green Arrow on tumblr, and thought of you. I believe it's from the tie-in comic to the upcoming game from the makers of Mortal Kombat. Anyway, I didn't know what it was as I was reading it, and thought it might be Suicide Squad. I was fully prepared to add it to my DC list, but now I'm disappointed. Apparently Harley's not great in it? Regardless, read the scene if you haven't already.
Marvel are giving away over 700 of their #1 issues for absolutely free over at Comixology. As expected, the server is a little temperamental at the moment, but it's such a great way to read comics (especially on a tablet, or other mobile device). An opportunity not to be missed. The offer closes on Tuesday. Perfect for anyone looking to start reading comics.
If you're looking for something current, definitely get Avengers Arena and X-Men: Legacy. FF is also fun.
I'd never read a comic book in my life until recently, but after seeing Watchmen I decided to pick up the graphic novel and loved it. I've always viewed it as a bit of a weird medium, but I'm considering reading some Batman now - I hear 'Year One' is a good place to start.

Depends how much of Miller you can take. I absolutely hate his female characters, or attempts at them anyway, and the over-narration, so I've never liked Batman Year One.
Now Batgirl Year One is a totally different story. Because that's an awesome young-Babs story.

So Sue Storm and Wolverine have gone back in time and killed Hank Pym because reasons. Seeing as there are a lot of Marvel fans here (relatively speaking) and this is even going to affect Runaways which I know has a couple of big fans, here is Bendis' list of how killing off Pym in the past changes Marvel's timeline.
