They got together at the end of season 1. Season 2 will have a "trouble in paradise" theme, and the couple will argue over couple things, and they'll break up at the end of season 2.
In season 3, Korra and Mako will spend the entire season being too proud to get back together even though it's clear they love each other and want to be 2geva 4eva. It will be a season filled with awkward moments and there will be many a time when fans scream, "JUST FREAKIN' GET ON WITH IT ALREADY" at their screens.
They'll get back together a few episodes before the series finale because of a near-death experience, and everyone will be like, "It's about time" and they'll all laugh and party.
Or, because this series seems to be darker than the last series, there'll be a funeral for Bolin before they laugh and party. Because if anyone's going to die, it's going to be him.
