It was all a two-stage plan. First, I'd try to make people cry by telling them that their beloved Versus was dead. Then when Square Enix inevitably denied it, people would lose their faith in Kotaku.

I will do this until they're both gone for good.

Regardless of whether this is a rumor or not, (which for fuck's sake, it's Kotaku) Nomura has been yanking our chain with the development of this game for years. Zero shits should be given about it especially considering all the hype they try to generate into a game that may never come out or at least suffer dramatic facelift after facelift.

You act as if they owe us something. They work on their own schedule, and while they did announce it way too early, it's not as if they're plucking out your ovaries, and eating your unborn children in front of you. Hype dying doesn't exactly mean a game will be a piece of shit. $20 says you line up on day one of its release to buy a copy.
