What the hell, this game looks barbaric. Brilliant, but... man, some of those killings were hard to watch, and will probably be harder to actually do. The gameplay looks like a cutscene it's so dramatic. If this E3 has done one thing, it's finally convince me to get a PS3.
The demo has just confirmed my suspsicions that I will be hiding underneath a blanket as I play. I am going to so on edge throughout the whole thing.
Note to self,
be sure not to play game into the wee hours of the night.

Need a doctor?!
Why not Zoidberg?!
Truly immersive experience. There is palpable sense of real danger & urgency in the demo, without it feeling too action movie-ish. The way Joel stealthily approached that dude & puts him a sleep hold, with the guy actually fighting back, unlike Uncharted when Drake does the exact same action with next to no effort. The realism was doubly emphasized by the absence of any background music and a non-intrusive HUD. The light banter between Joel & Ellie defines their relationship nicely as well.
This game has epic sauce smothered all over it. Keeping my fingers crossed that the story holds up.
I thought they were supposed to be victims of a fungus based on the cordyceps in the real-world wild? How would Joel have a hand in that?
I also find myself wondering if a bite from the zombies will be a death in that game, or if they'll go the route of other zombie games and just make the main characters immune/just forget about it concerning them altogether.

Phenomenal. They're still playing the infected close to their chest, and that's just stellar. It does look like the "clickers" aren't something that you'll be fighting against, but rather running from and I understand that in an interview they said this isn't a "zombie game" so they may not be as central to the plot. Still though, excited to see how they work out.
