So far, only boss that gave me problems/took more then two times at most was Odin. Because I sucked, lol.

But now, Chapter 11 and barely updated Crystarium ... yikes. Grindin' time I guess xD

The second to last fight in the main story line was easily the hardest fight on both of my playthroughs. Though it was significantly easier the second time around, it was still the hardest fight of that playthrough.

If you do not build up the chain fast enough, he will launch an attack that decimates your party and resets his chain gauge at the same time. I have even had him do this in the middle of a stagger, and it seems unpredictable when he is going to do this, so timing your stagger just right is impossible. Then he hits you with a toxic cloud that afflicts your entire party with status ailments, some of which are extremely dangerous if you do not clear them immediately. And there is a looming threat throughout the entire fight that he will insta-kill one of your party members; you have a 33% chance that this will immediately end your fight.

You have to be fast with this fight, even faster with the one that follows

That said, if you can perfect dealing damage at full throttle, you can easily finish the second fight so quickly that you will get 5 stars. If you do this, you will win a Gold Trophy (PS3) or 60 Gamerscore (360).

I found Hecatonchier was the most diffcult. Tried about 20 times before bothering to go get Vanille another ATB segment. Then it only took a few tries. I don't really understand all this difficulty people are having with barthandelus, I beat every fght with him on my first attempt.

Upgrade your weapons and max out the intrinsic Crystarium Roles for this Stage.

Otherwise, save your CP for something very soon.

The last hunt is now officially my hardest fight, I managed to finish it in 22 mins though it took many tries and paradigm setup swaps. I was using Ultima Weapon too with lucky strike ability and it never worked. Now to get the last three trophies I'm missing though I'm getting the treasure collector in my next playthrough. I need Superstar and 5 stars for all missions....

I just wanted to know which part people have encountered so far in their play through?
I put this in spoilers coz it could reveal stuff people don't wanna know yet

I am not that far, about 25 hours in, I am battling with Cid and I cannot get past the damn bastard!! he is driving me insane I have been grinding my characters and he still beats the crap out of me
My friends thought he was easy but not for me.

which parts did you find hardest?

Sazh's Eidolon battle took me several tries and several more potions. For a time I thought I was going to be stuck at that stage for all eternity. I figured out the trick only at Vanille's Eidolon battle. T_T

I got killed by Cid a couple of times too... but it's okay. Cos failure is the mother of success and through the battle you can understand your opponent better and improvise on your battle strategy. Sometimes it's just a matter of Paradigm Shifts. If you use them well and correctly, you can survive even the worst battles. Combat Clinic is always a good standby Paradigm Shift.

First time to battle the freaken Pope....=.=
That f****g Destrudo killed all my party everytime...
I had to grind for 2 hours before I finally kill him...
And I had difficulty with all the other Barthandelus fights...
For some weird reason, Orphan was way too easy...o.o
