im on chapter 9 or so, i plan to use the 3 ladies when i have the option to choose my party. what im wondering is, what weapon should i go for?
i havnt literally made 0 changes/upgrades to any armor/weapons.
whats a good place to start?
If I remember correctly, Fang hasn't received any of her other weapons, aside from her standard one, so you can't do much there. Vanille should be using a Belladona Wand, and Lightning is a hybrid character, so if you want her to be primarily a ravager, use her Blazefire, and if you want her to be strength oriented, use Gladius. Your main focus right now should be maxing out their Crystarium, considering a difficult boss is coming up. Accessory don't necessarily need to be upgrade unless you're swimming in cash, so focus on weapons.
i was hoping to get an early start on end game weapons, i dont want to put exp into ones that i wont end up making ultimate weapons yet.
i know fang gets one thats pure raw str
lightning gets one with a low % of instant stagger and
im not sure what to go for with vannile outside of the wand with debuff+
Ultimate Weapons are not as helpful as you might think. You can easily finish the game and beat most monsters without upgrading your weapons and accessories. If you still want to upgrade them... imho it doesn't make much of a difference which one you choose once you've maxed them out. I've upgraded mine randomly and I still defeated everyone without any problem. If you can't beat the Adamantoises yet don't even bother, you won't be able to make enough money with the other monsters.
i just remember reading some posts about some fights that could have been alot easier with the quick stagger sword, the big cactar comes to mind.
some of the titan missions are really hard too
It's a synthesized ability that randomly staggers the enemy. That's the common strategy for the Giagantuar, not quick stagger, which staggers the enemy when the bar is almost full.
My advise is not to worry about any of the side quests until you finish the game. The only one you should do right now is mission 55 to get the Growth Egg to level up quicker. The strategy for that is get a sentinel with insane health, a good medic, spam Death with Vanille until they're all dead and pray it doesn't take too long.
so im on chapter 11, did 1 or 2 missions and continued with the main story.
i didnt do any fights i didnt have to, so im way under CP'd at the moment.
im trying to ready myself for a grind session in the mines (where the 6? ice ball things i have to fight for 7k or so CP) i made the aurora scarfs(first strike)
i dont have auto haste boots yet. was wondering what i should use for 3rd item. i plan on using the 3 ladies for the rest of the game.
