FFXIII-2 Lightning DLC, White Mage Serah, Moogle Outfits Due in May
Quote:
Final Fantasy XIII-2's big Lightning VS Caius download content scenario was announced weeks ago, but Square Enix still hasn't said when we'll be getting it. The wait may finally be coming to an end, though.
Dengeki PlayStation reveals this week that the DLC will be released some time in May. It will follow Snow's DLC, which is due on May 15.
As previously detailed, the Lightning DLC is titled Requiem of the Goddess. The scenario will show Lightning and Caius in a different form of battle from what we saw in the main game.
It looks like Square Enix has a whole lot planned for May. In addition to the Requiem of the Goddess DLC, we can also look forward to White Mage Serah and Black Mage Noel costumes. We'll also be getting some Moogle costumes.
All this comes after the Snow and Valfodr DLC
Hm. Releasing these costumes seems a bit late, from where I'm standing. Most people have already purchased the game and played it to death, if they're interested. Perhaps in conjunction with the Lightning DLC it could be worthwhile, but I'm just not sure there's enough game left to experience for these costumes to be much use.
Could care less about the costumes...a bit too late for them at this point and they are a waste of money anyway. Super excited for the Lightning DLC though, better not be as disappointing as the Sazh DLC where you just dick around the casino. :/
That White Mage outfit is beautiful, and more to the point exactly what I have been waiting for out of the costume DLC. The default outfit for Serah, and most of the DLC have more of a modern-day or future-y vibe to them. A nice, classic fantasy outfit is just what I need. <3
Well, the cat one and the (dog? bear?) one next to it are pretty adorable. I really think each of them looks cute in its own way, although I don't like that weird patchwork one down in the bottom right.
My favorite is the one in the bottom left that is purple, it looks like it might be a Thief outfit from FF Tactics Advance/Advance 2.
To be honest, I see it perfectly fine. It somewhat resembles the Magus (higher level Black Mages) from Final Fantasy 3, or the Black Mage from 4 Heroes of Light game for the DS, or even one of the appearance styles (Called Black Mage) of the Yuke in the Gamecube game Crystal Chronicles.
I wish his pants were black instead of striped, and it would be awesome if he had a hat (or an option to have the hat), but all in all I think it's a solid outfit and better than most of the costume DLC released for Noel so far.
I never played Final Fantasy 3 or 4, maybe that is why I do not see the resemblance.
I agree, I wish I was looking for a hoodie or that wizard wide-brimmed hat and darker color clothing. Those would have been better cues for me. I have nothing against the outfit. I just did not get "black mage" from first impression until I read the announcement again, lol.

I can't really say anything bad about it. I do like the white mage outfit. I do, however, wish that it had been saved for another game. It's actually a pretty nice design, and not overly futuristic like most of the crap in this game.
