No. It's nothing relating to the actual series. It's just blatantly ripping off parts of it. Fun fact though. It's actually being produced by Fight Star, the band of which Charlie Simpson (remember Busted?) is a member of. He's written an entire album in the past called Grand Unification which was influenced by Eva. The film was previously called H.I.P. (Human Instrumentality Project) but I guess that would have made blatant plagiarism a bit too easy to discover.
I don't think using the excuse that it's influenced by it is going to work. Remember the Advent Children music video?
