Remember Theatrhythm? The Final Fantasy 3DS rhythm game Square released in Japan back in February? You're probably not the only one who doesn't, but Square Enix have seen fit to release new DLC for it including several new songs from other Final Fantasy titles. Of course one of the songs isn't from a game that's seen the light of day yet.
Yoko Shimomura's Somnus which was released back in 2008 and feature in the debut Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer in 2006, will be coming to the 3DS game on April 4th. Theatrhythm is currently planned to arrive in Europe and America this summer. See the preview below.
I've been mildly curious about this game for a long while now, but not enough to actually bother looking up gameplay videos or anything. My interest doesn't go much beyond the cute art style. Then again, I try not to get too interested in anything that's going to be on 3DS since, well, I have a student-living-in-a-foreign-country's budget rofl.
Hard to judge the song itself just yet, though. 8D

the song is fantastic, the trailer was breathtaking when it came out....i only fear that when it'll come out, it won't be half of what we dreamed..IF it will ever come out ._.

Preeeeetty sure that Theatrhythm was the game being referred to in the quote.
I apologize in advance if it's just that you are that excited for Theatrhythm.

sorry, i was referring to Versus, i really don't give a %"&$ about Theatrhythm. On my opinion Theatrhythm is just one of the un-wanted releases SE brings out trying to make more money, more or less like XIII-2. Me, for one, i bought the Limited Edition on day one of XIII and was pretty happy with the ending it had. When i heard about XIII-2 being made i was like "wtf dudes!? who cares about XIII-2, just make it AFTER you've finished and released Versus who EVERYONE IS WAITING"...but no. They had to come up with useless releases to milk more money from people and didn't even concentrate on releasing Type-0 in the USA, and left Versus behind for years.
... Are we absolutely sure this isn't an April Fool's joke? Talking about the entire game here. Maybe they thought it up as a joke and somehow got the go ahead to make it by accident.

My issue with Theatrhythm is how slow and unchallenging it appears, and I'm not just talking about Somnus. The other songs are just La Dee Da~ So far the only rhythm games that got it right was Rhythm Heaven, Osu! Take! Oendan!, and Elite Beat Agents. I WISH I COULD GET ANOTHER EBA GAME.
