I just replayed the Valhalla battle (Finished the game) and Lightning said this to Noel in the cutscene. Does she mean Caius or Yeul?

And another thing, Light and Serah's parents died from an illness and whatever, but because this hasn't been explained much do you think they in the smallest chance have something to do with how Lightning's ended up? I have a small theory that her mum was secretly Etro

I'm sure she meant Yeul. Being at Valhalla, Lightning can see everything (or at least, before she crystallized herself on Etro's Throne), she would know of the farseers and every Yeul, actually.

And according to the mythos, humans were created from Etro's blood when she commited suicide and went to Valhalla. So technically, Etro's everybody's mum.
