Final Fantasy Type-0 has been out for a week in Japan and the sales for it’s first week have been released by Media Create. It’s managed to shift 472,253 units so far, approximately the same amount as Crisis Core sold on it’s first week. This puts it in the top spot for best selling game in Japan, followed by the new Kirby game and The Idolm@ster 2′s PS3 release.
What does this mean for us? Well the game is certainly a critical and commercial success. If anyone still had any doubts about Type-0 coming overseas, these numbers should hopefully put them to rest. Let’s hope Square thinks the same.
I really only think it's a matter of time. There was absolutely no official word about a Western release for say, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep until well after the game was released in Japan, and I would say that seemed less likely in general.

I've been having these weird thoughts lately… Like, is any of this for real… Or not?
It means you bastards better BUY this game IF it ever gets released outside of Japan. But I'm pretty happy the game sold so well! Those numbers are phenomenal!
I don't know how reliable VGChartz is (you don't need to tell me the answer )
but according to them, the Crisis Core has sold over 2.8 million units, with 1.3 million coming from the Amuricas, and .8 million from Japan.
Granted that game had VII's legacy stapled all over it, but if Type-0 is following a similar success pattern in Japan, then obvioussllyyy they need to bank off the game here.
Oh Steve Blum, voice King and be a permanent edition to my party? Yeah? OK!
Welp, they've brought less successful games here before. I'm with the rest of you, I think it's only a matter of time before this sees us here in the West.
