They (developers) gave us a perception about Lightning via interviews two-three years ago. That perception created a solid idea in our minds about how Lightning is meant to be and how she's treating people around her. From that perception we think she's a strong woman, independent, not very feminine, and her relationship with Snow will be different from any previous FFs and she believed to be the strongest female lead!
All of those aspects simply made us to believe how impossible the romance between Lightning and Snow is! I'm not saying that won't happen. But it's just so wrong to just think about the strongest female lead in the series to fell in love with her sister's fiance after her death T____T and not to mention how stupid illogical Snow is.

I can't see Snow doing much of anything, save for Vanille, with the other 2 babes. There just too dominant for him to handle (Look at how the relationship is protrayed between him and Serah).
I think the only person that really knows what's going on in Lightning's head (past the stage of remotely) would be Sazh due to the time they were in the military together and SE has a habit of making love out of foiled characters. It's quite unclear as to what kind of relationship those two have (besides what was on the demo disc).
I don't know, it's just I really can't see anything with Snow just to his character type. He prob focuses on redemption. If anything theres a Vanille (she's small and meek like Serah) and Snow due to the the asians preception of red to blue.

Wow, it's like déjà vu all over again. LuluxChappuxWakka. Lulu - one of the best female characters in the entire Final Fantasy Series. Chappu...no idea; untimely death and all. Wakka - one of, if not the, worst character (male or female) in the entire series. I died a little inside, now Final Fantasy XIII seems poised to finish the job. The best female characters appear to have a thing for hobos. Prove me wrong, Lightning. Prove me wrong.
I loved Wakka too! Actually, I liked every character in FFX, except Kimahri not so much, though to his defence even he had a distinctive character too. That's why I'd say that FFXIII and FFX give me the same feel with regard to characters; all are so distinct and unique! =D
There seems to be some degree of leisure in these peoples lives if Snow and Serah are getting married, and more importantly, their headquarters are located at a beach resort. Lightning can't be driven 24/7. And anyway, all her introspection in the trailer shows that shes got her feminine qualities. I wanna see her at least in some kind of fling early in the game.
