Actually, I want to agree with this, but— Would you consider Shiva to be Water and Ice Elemental? Not saying she has used Water element attacks, but you know.
Ok, I think i don't want to bet on that one. I can't make up my mind about it. :o

I'm not sure. Shiva might be both, I can't tell because her Gestalt moves haven't been revealed. Still, if she is, that just make Vanille's Eidolon being water element less likely!
Wasn't exactly aware of that, but it sounds like a great idea. In fact, SP Points may have something to do with more abilities to unlock that consume a greater amount of SP. I don't know though, their moves could be fixed.
For some reason, I can remember that initial view of Shiva having a lot of water around it, making me wonder if Ice and Water are one element in this game, as they usually are in other RPG's. Though not really in FF so far.
Though Alexander's definitely looking like an Earth Eidolon now, and if he really is, I think Vanille being stuck with a Water one is almost guaranteed.
anyone considered that a summon may start as one elemental but you can unlock different attacks and elements on the crystallium system.
That's a very good idea! Hmm, since each character has their own summon, for all you know, each character has a 'Summon' disc in their Crystalliums too to level up using CP? (You can't confuse it with SP, Falsate, as SP is like the summons' equivalent for HP.) Maybe that's where they increase their summon's stats, abilities (if its possible to unlock new ones), and most certainly level up their final attack (e.g. Diamond Dust Lv. 3 to 4 etc.)

Ooh, thanks for the link SORA HEART. According to the link, it says that "Chocobos have a life gauge which goes down whenever you run into an enemy. Once this reaches zero, the Chocobo will flee." This makes more sense, and eliminates the idea of Chocobos actually entering battles, or that the gauge decreases with time. It's more like the game providing you three lives (I think I saw three chocobo feathers) in terms of enemy encounters, before the Chocobo runs away and you've to battle any further enemy you encounter.
And yes, about the next Famitsu issue which I'm also eagerly anticipating... I think it should be sometime this week? Anyone can confirm?
@Squirrel Emperor: Huh, why did you bring the logo in all of a sudden? Well, I'm sure you won't find Alexander in there xD All we know is that there're two women (Lightning & Serah or Shiva Sisters?), and a horse (likely Odin?).
@Death Penalty: Haha, it could be possible! Imagine if we could actually customize the Gestahlt mode commands, choosing the few attacks we want to have appear on the screen! I know, it's quite... Unlikely, but would be so awesome!

I'd be absolutely thrilled if they let us customize the Gestahlt mode commands, but realistically speaking, it probably won't happen. While it's a wonderful idea, I doubt they put it in. I wish they had though, it'd make for really customizeable and situational characters.
Haha, yeps, whilst it probably won't happen, it's not absolute yet! It just might... xD Can't wait for the next Famitsu issue to reveal more about the Crystallium!
Y'know, for me the fun of FFXIII has already begun, even before its release! It's all this speculation, imagining, deciphering, and hoping for a game that makes you feel a bit like you're a part of the process!

Because one of the theories is that the logo represents all the summons. But it's looking less likely now. Unless someone can find Brynhildr, Bahamut, and Alexander.
Maybe not all summons.. just those very important one, regarding the future of both worlds, L'cies, Fal'cies, whose choices and actions could lead to Salvation or Destruction.
The horse.. always reminded me of a unicorn :3
A unicorn that can only be tamed by a virgin maiden or maidens.
But we'll truly find out its meaning once we play it. OR if its gonna be explained on that FFXIII game guide, which is gonna be released before the game.

Haha, I see... Yeah, I doubt the theory about finding all the summons in the logo is true; how can there be six summons hidden in that logo! xD And yeah I await finding out the greater significance of the logo too once we learn the story! This logo has got to be one of the more enigmatic ones compared to previous installments.
