HECK, I didn't own Double Dragon II and had the NES (emulator). I want you get to upset now! Muahaha...
Unless you mean having the NES IRL.. then I shall vanquish. >>;
Emulators don't count.

Video games, I began playing when I was very young. I was a spoilt brat and daddy bought me everything. ;D Okay, I'm lying. My dad bought HIM everything, I just enjoyed it too. My dad owned a PlayStation, Sega and a Sega Saturn. My dad bought tons of games. My favourite PS game was Crash Bandicoot, favourite Sega game was Pocahontas and favourite Sega Saturn was KIDS fighter. Good times. D;
The first time I was exposed to this 'Final Fantasy' was when my cousin came to visit several years back. It was when FF8 was out and he had just got it. When I asked him about it, he said: "It's about a guy who has to save his sister."
Orly.
Anyway, a couple years later, when I started high school, I met a girl who believed I looked like Short-haired Garnet from FFIX.
orly. We look nothing alike. What failure.
So then I became interested in this 'Final Fantasy' and looked it up. I was very offended because I thought she meant I looked like a monkey(I mistook Zidane for Garnet)
After more failsome attempts and discovering the character I finally got it right. The first one I played was FFX-2 then FFX then FFIX (never completed)
Started playing when my older brother bought his first console (N64) and i've been hooked to videogames ever since. I actually didn't know about Final Fantasy until I saw the trailer for X-2 on Spiketv... i know, pathetic. Oh well. we all started somewhere, right?
Into video games: I played MGS1 demo ... .
Into Final Fantasy: I saw a FFVIII teaser or something and I was like Hmmm @-@, and one year later I bought a used FFVIII copy on a flea market in Wales. Lol.
My first gaming console was a second hand PS1 that came with...*gasp* the whole FF8 set and other games.
Of course being young and ignorant I chose to play the other games, like racing and all (I was only 7 then)
Over time I got bored, and I started playing FF8, it had pretty awesome graphics, and it blew my 8 year old self away. But I never really got anywhere in the story until I was about 9. I've been a faithful fangirl since then.
Mmmm, I remember the first game I ever played was Spyro: The Year of The Dragon when I was five or six. A few months later, I played the demo of Final Fantasy VII. I played it over and over and over again, unaware that I was playing the same thing. That's where it started. I picked up Final Fantasy X when I was eleven, and depressed, and it helped me through everything. That's part of the reason I love it so much. I still replay it a few times a year to this day, and that's pretty much it.
LOOKING FORWARD TO FF XIII.

For me I mostly got into games because of my older brother and the fact that I have mostly male cousins... I remember watching my brother play tons of PC games before I was old enough to play, then we got a NES and we would play Super Mario. Then it was the SNES and all the Donkey Kong games (which I still love and have on my laptop 8D) Oh and my favourite game of all time was Mortal Kombat. Then it was watching my brother play N64 and playing whenever he let me would, Mario/Mario Kart and the James Bond game oh and the Pokemon games! Haha I loved those lmfao. Then finally the PS1 came out and that's when I was introduced to the Final Fantasy games... It was either my father or my cousins who introduced me to it I don't quite remember but I do remember that I instantly loved them and would sit and watch them play... I would try too but I wasn't very good. Since then I've played all FFs from 7-12 (excluding 11 cause I didn't have online for the ps2)
From the beginning I didn't loved this game. The first ff I saw it was ff VII on PS and after that the ff VIII came and I loved it so much... So that was the new beginning for me with Final Fantasy.
I got into final fantasy when i picked out final fantasy X in a video store one day. I dont knw y i picked it..i guess it mustve been fate. But ever since then i got into the final fantasy series even though i only played X and XII i still love the whole FF series
My first experience were back in the early 2000's. I was at my cousin's house and whenever he played Final Fantasy X I was totally fascinated and I remember that I never went off the screen for hours, just watching him play. Some time later (I Think 2002?) I decided to get a PlayStation 2 for my birthday and since I'm not a big player (Just for the series I have played) I decided to buy the game. And that's how I got engaged in the whole final fantasy thing. After that I saw the eighth installment in the "Used Games" rack and so on.

I never really got into gaming until the Nintendo gamecube came out but my family had all of the nintendo consoles (NES, SNES, N64). For some reason I just thought they were a nuisance but then Super Smash Bros melee came out and I then got interested. some time later we somehow acquired a playstation and I got Final fantasy VII for my birthday. I got stuck at Bizarro Sephiroth when my litttle brothers some how ended up scratching the first disk, getting toothpaste on the second disk and finally snapping the third disk in half. I was able to recover my sanity an pulled my self together and played FF( for a while but I barrowed it from my cousin so eventually I had to give it back then he lost it had I never got to play again then me and my friend were able to play all through FFX and XII. I also played a lot of crystal chronicles and played a little bit of the original Final Fantasy at school. now I mainly use my 360 while my wii sits in the corner collecting dust. well thats about it how I got into gaming and Final Fantasy.

when i was younger i actually shoplifted videogames. i saw one called "final fantasy 7" and had never heard of it but i snatched it anyway. I stole a few others and eventually got caught and learned my lesson but thanks to my thieving i was introduced to one of the greatest series ever
I got into videogames because my friend had a PSX which I was really jealous about and I would go to her house all the time to play Tarzan or Raymond because it was so much fun.
Unfortunately my mom was that "girls shouldn't play videogames" person (pure BS) so she refused to buy me one so my first console was the PS2 after much begging.
I'm not actually sure when I got into gaming. Quite a few years ago though. I think I really started playing and beating game was when I got the ps2 and ever since I've played games. I think the final fantasy that really got me into the series was 9 and 7. 9 is by far one of my most favorite games of all time a long with 10.
When i was in first grade, my dad bought me a sega mega drive (or whatever it's called...i forgot) for my birthday. I remember i used to play Top Gear, Sonic and even Sailor Moon. D:
i never got to own a game boy, but come third grade, my dad bought me another console, the PS1. I got hooked into Tekken, Crash Bandicoot and Valkyrie Profile, which was the first rpg i got to play. At the time, i still had no idea what Final Fantasy was until i saw FFVIII at the game store. It stood out from the rest because the cd cover was awesome, and it seemed interesting after reading the stuff on the back.
I bought the game, played it, and wondered why it was already the eighth FF. I wanted to play the rest, and so my quest for acquiring the other FF games began....
The first FF I played was FFIX, which I borrowed from my uncle when I was about 11 or 12. It was my very first RPG game then, but I had always been intrigued with the fantasy world and magic, so taking to it was easy. Of course, I loved it! It was so fitting that FFIX, the "homage" to the FF series, was the one that started my love for all things FF!
After that I wanted to proceed on to the next FF; FFX, but I remember at that time I didn't have a PS2, only a PS1, so I decided to backtrack to FFVIII while waiting for my birthday to come along before I got my PS2! Sad to say... (Don't hate me!) I stopped FFVIII once I got my PS2 and played FFX straight away! FFVIII... Was pretty boring to me actually. And at that time I thought; "Why backtrack when you can play the newer installment?" xD So I played FFX and then FFX-2, both of which I loved as well, and then FFXII, which I felt had great gameplay but didn't like the story...
Now eagerly awaiting FFXIII, and if possible, would love to "backtracK" and play the rest of the FF series once I'm done with FFXIII and waiting for FFXV! xD
I first started playing video games with the NES but I didn't really get into gaming until the SNES with Final Fantasy IV and Super Metroid and the rest is history.
