^ Or a new character and Vanille's friggin' Eidolon.
That would be more towards the JP Version, but this is the NA version we're speaking about. If they did some shit like that, I'd be shocked since they haven't even revealed updated the site with all the summons and new characters.
By the way Cruxis, it would be best if they did release a demo for us eventually. They already said it would be something to look into, but it's not confirmed. Don't forget, they love to change their words up.
I'm going to freak out if we get a demo version next week..
Shit, I'm already freaking out now....
I'm nervous

Com'on Demo Version
I think they might release a demo for us eventually, I just think now's a little soon as they only said that they'd look into it a month or so ago.
It would certainly come as a surprise to me if it were demo related.
In regards to the demo, since the JP version came out, sources have been questioning them from Day 1 about a NA Demo. Nearly seven months have went by..
There's three months left and if they don't take initiative within the next two months or so, then they can't expect to maximize their fan base.
Gonna agree with Falsate, if they want maximum selling rates, for worldwide they need to put up a demo so the people who have lost interest can get it back, and thus buying the full game, i know alot of friends and people i write with over the internet that told me, they would've brought the game but lost interest and they don't wanna waste money...
and thus a demo would get them hyped again. ^-^

I guarantee you that they will all buy the game regardless. Half the fanbase has said things along those lines but they'll all have pre-orders anyway. It seems to happen with every popular game that has PR problems.
Yeah, I'm not saying that side of the crowd will completely bounce because it happens a lot. People will pout and throw fits, but end up being the first in line to claim it. It's quite ironic too..
Dissidia was released on PSN yesterday (friday), and the PSN usually updates on fridays. A demo next week friday would make perfect sense, and mayba a month-only release date.
If it is the NA/Europe release date announcement instead of the demo that's probably good news. I would also prefer a demo, but, with that leaked casting call, the release date seems more likely. So, here's the good news: Wada just said a few days ago that they are looking for a release this fiscal year, meaning there hasn't been enough time for this to change. If they announce now, it pretty much guarantees March 2010 at the latest which is 1-3 months better than everyone's been expecting.
