I think Vanille's eidolon is an earth elemental eidolon. But a new eidolon, like Brynhildr.
Vanille wears african clothes, and the African peoples like gods of the nature, because their bring fertility.
For Hope, I think that he will have Valefor, and that his Gestalt Mode will be a hang-glider.
So :
LIGHTNING : Odin - Male Eidolon - Thunder
FANG : Bahamut - Male Eidolon ? - Non-elemental ?
VANILLE : ??? - Male Eidolon ? - Earth ?

This will probably sound stupid but... what if the eidolons each commanded 2 elements? In that case, one could imagine the setup being something like this:
Vanille: a summon commanding darkness
Hope: a summon commanding holy
Or to follow the double elemental thing, one of them would have a summon that uses both dark and holy.
I gave vanille something darker because of the "dark resolve" bit I read about some time ago and how the eidolons are supposed to have a connection to what's in the character's heart.
Does Vanille fortell the future?

I'm pretty sure she was just using flowery speech to express how bleak she found the situation she was currently in.

It could easily be the other way around.
People keep forgetting that Hope wants revenge on Snow. Sounds dark.
And people also keep forgetting that Vanille gives Hope a hug because his mom passed away, so she's there for him in need. Sounds... caring and motherly.
Her summon could be her dark resolve mixed with her cute, sunshine, caring personality. It could still just be cute, sunny, whatever. Or it could just be dark.
Her sunshine attitude maybe so strong that she puts the dark resolve to the side and doesn't think much of it. And when getting her summon, the dark resolve isn't detected. Or maybe she got her summon first before she got her burden.
Or maybe even with that dark burden, she's so hesitant, afraid, sad, worried, and hurt on the inside that her summon could be based on that. She covers all this on the outside with sunshine. She could be sunshine on the inside, but the dark burden may have affected that some.
It's like being nervous but doing everything you can to stay positive so that it doesn't turn you into a emotional wreck.
It could be anything.
Personally, I still think it'd be awesome if she got Fenrir.
As happy as seeing a shadow summon and a holy summon would make me, I'm not sure I see it happening considering the revealed elements.
In some FF they are elements while others...well there like element types. It's not telling with this one.
On the note with Vanille possibly having a dark summon:
1. Diabolos (which if it had a mech design would be pretty BA)
2. Doomtrain (already made of metal and is pretty dark)
3. Fenrir (a popular summon nowadays and definitely could bring some interesting gameplay)
4. Zeromus (as much as I like the summon in XII, I doubt we'll see him again as there really aren't any boss summons revealed thus far, but who knows as none of us were expecting Sazh to have a female knight turning race car :O).
As for Hope, It's pretty safe to say he'll get: Phoenix, Alexander (man I miss this one), or some random made up one for this game.

Sazh... Not sure what it means. Does sound fiery I suppose.
since they used many persian names in old FFs ..... Sazh means Musical Instrument in Persian
Nabaat meants Rock Candy, Sera means T junction .... lol T junction ! Serah + Lightning + Snow = T junction
Hope has got Alexander, so the whole male = female summon was just blown to pieces.
Is it possible for Vanille to have the Magus sisters?
I mean, they recurred twice? And they also looks all cute and innocent, until they use Delta attack.
EDIT: And snow has two parts of the same summon for shiva. so it isnt impossible for Vanille to have all three sisters.
I totally agree with you; I was hoping that there'd be another summon where their "normal mode" was more than one being, just like the Shiva Sisters! It would be so cool! Just that I doubt it'll be the Magus Sisters, because I don't think it's possible for there to be 4 members in the party. (E.g. Vanille plus the 3 sisters?)
By the way; where did you get your avatar Fun Yun Fang! Love it; did you do it yourself! I'd like to see the rest of the characters drawn in a similar style! =D
