Triple Triad

I'm a massive Triple Triad fan and I still find it to be the best Final Fantasy mini-game of all to day. Do you guys/gals like TT?
Has anyone gotten all the cards before? I was off by 3 and Card Queen wasn't being that nice about giving 'em up.
Also, do you collect them, or find it better to refine them for items using Card Mod?
What's the most useful card IYO?

I'm also a big fan of TT. I'm playing VIII again and trying to get all cards. And I always hate to refine a Card, even if I can get it back later.

The thing that sucks is that its fun to collect cards and play TT but you dont freakin' get anything once you complete them all!!! But still, its one of the best minis ever...
I wish they'd have the same thing on XIII, maybe call it Yakuza or Mafia or something...

I agree with you, it is still my favorite FF minigame to date. I loved challenging the characters and collecting their cards. I wish FFXIII will have have some card game, but I don't know if that's the kind of thing that would have been announced before the game is released or not.
If I remember correctly, Alexander was the hardest card I won. I believe it was somewhere after the space scene that we were able to challenge for it (can't remember if it was Rinoa or her father)

Oooh yeah, big TT fan! I got every card except Doomtrain and ...Fat Chocobo(?) I think.

Lord of Dumbasses: Refine was good at the end if you had everything including Ultimate Weapons, its what I did. That or if you plan to got through an early Lvl99 game, that ability's saintly.

It is one of those games that polarizes opinion it seems.

I quite like it, especially the first time round since refining the cards could make your characters uber strong in no time (although that was when I was a mere no0b, there are many ways to do that). I did manage to get all the cards a few times, although beating that Queen is evil later on in the game!

When VIII comes out on PSN I will be paying a lot more attention to Triple Triad. Apparantly they made an unofficial version of Triple Triad for the PSP, but you have to have a custom firmware PSP to play it. I wish they released an official one. I wouldn't mind a blitzball game for PSP either.
