Yeah, a little while ago Karen posted hers, and I finally felt like being productive today, so I made mine just now. It's for the same Social Studies project, to make a brochure for a country. Mine's Japan, because Karen took China. Waah. T_T

Yeah, I'm aware it doesn't look anything like a brochure cover. But that's okay. xD

Ignore the '8-1' and 'cheryl li', that's my class and my name.

If you're wondering, those flowers are sakura (cherry blossoms). I found it on DeviantART. I was going to make them pink but they turned grainy. Like, disgustingly grainy.

Yay for concritty fun! <3 ( Seriously, I need concrit before Karen gets this printed D: )

Oh, and Karen, if I got the dimensions wrong in the end...
...please slap me. D:

I like the colors and the subtle textures on the lower right :) It looks kind of tropical to me. I don't like the placement of "sakura tours" however, because "Japan" is covering it up! And just because I'm nitpicky, maybe aligning the text of your name and your class to the right *evil grin*

My last name is "Li" too...my Asian friends always make fun of that aspect, and question why it shouldn't be "Lee" instead >_>

Yay, thanks. I wanted 'sakura tours' and 'Japan' to clash; I was trying something different xD

As for '8-1' and my name, I tried aligning them to the right but they looked really bad xD

Thanks for the help!

Oooo, pretty! =D

Mine is the default cover for one of the templates in Microsoft Publisher. D: Might change it.

Nehhh, graphics-wise, it's quite good, but it doesn't serve its purpose too well. Asides from the "Japan" on the cover, it doesn't exactly represent Japan -- yes, I know that Sakura are the official flower of Japan but the stereotypical sakura is... well, pink. And I know the issue of colour and graininess, but I can't relate it all that well to Japan now and... yeah.

Asides from that, text is one of the things I like, although you might want to realign the "8-1 cheryl li" as Yurian suggested. Graphics-wise, it's good in general, but I noticed that you aren't really branching out in terms of new ideas and such -- your backgrounds are starting to get on the repetetive side (your use of the same textures is noticeable to me at this point).

It looks really good. The biggest project I have/had is a stupid scrapbook project that sucks like heck. You guys do cool things.

Ahhhh, but Mr. Spraggs doesn't know that, now does he? *wink*

And I still think it's pwetty. Maybe it'd look better with a warm background of orange or yellow. Y'know, so the flowers would contrast the background, blah, blah ,blah, look at me, I'm Mr. Mc.Dowell!

Hee, yeah, I know, a lot of my stuff look the same...though Karen, I can say the same for you >_> I don't really want to change my style much anyways, but I am still learning new things and I personally feel satisfied with my style so yeah xD I might try new things later, but for now I like having a style that's 'me', if you know what I mean.

Lol, thanks Jason. I don't think I'm going to be changing the background to warm colours cause, one, I can't >_> part of the photo is the actual background, and two, because I think it'd be a little weird making it rainbow-ish. And I already started the panels with that colour scheme, lol, but thanks anyways.

I wasn't talking in regards to Mr. Spraggs, Jason. Plus, a warm background would not cause the flowers to contrast the background... it's the opposite since the flowers are white.

Anyway, Cheryl, I can argue that statement about my work, but my work is completely irrelevant to yours. Point being, there's a difference between style and repetition, but if you're fine with it, then okay. The problem could always be easily solved by finding/making new textures, 'o course.
