The only reason I was attracted to KH in the first place was the inclusion of FF characters. We've now had a number of games with no FF characters whatsoever. Does this make the game less of an event for you?

Same here.

I was only interested in KH becuase it had something to do with Final Fantasy. I don't really like action jrpg's and Disney charecters.

I'm not interested in the upcoming BBS game much but I'm still gonna give it a try.

While it was what initially interested me, I've found that it doesn't need them to be good and can stand on it's own with it's original and Disney characters.

The inclusion of FF characters adds more conflicts to the whole game for me. For instance, Cloud dealing with both an Internal and External conflict just as he did in AC. Characters like Squall just made the whole setting cooler along with the FF7 Members.

FF characters in KH are annoying. They should get rid of them for good :wtf:

kh isnt an ff game nor part of the ff series. it merely features ff characters. kh is its own series so i wouldnt be surprised if they one day just took all ff out of it lol.

The FF characters always add to the storyline, which works well. The only two that I have disliked are Aerith and Cloud, one for their VA, the other for their crisis they encounter.

They've focused on Organization 13, which I really don't care for. They need a new villian thats actually evil instead of here and there bothersome and just doesn't want to steal some hearts.

The FF characters were cameos anyway. They only added them in to pull FF fans into the franchise, and now they're taking them all out since the series is popular enough.

...That last part is more of an assumption, but the point still stands. They aren't a main part of the games and never were. Their roles could have easily been filled by someone else, and their presence was a gimmick-ridden, shit idea.

Didn't really make that much of a difference to me whether they were present or not. I'd assume the plot would have progressed in the same pattern without them.

Kinda wished they woulda made Sepiroth a little harder to beat, though. -_-

The whole reason why I don't like Kingdom Hearts is because of its inclusion of Final Fantasy characters, and now a little bit of the Disney characters too. I feel it wouldn't be popular without Disney or FF. Face it, KH just sponges off of both series. Of course, I'm only talking about Kingdom Hearts 1. Chain of Memories, though it basically just repeated every world in the exact same situation, developed a reall unique storyline of its own. It got Organization XIII as its own, original group of villains. The Disney villains suck, except for Hades who is actually in his movie. CoM which continued into KH2 finally got some originality. It got Mulan and Pirates of the Carribean, Twilight Town, Hollow Bastion and The World That Never Was. It got an original cast of characters (Roxas and his friends along with Seifer's gang; Org. 13) and had an original storyline that had nothing to do with Disney characters, other than Maleficent saving Sora, and the continued search for King Mickey. But with Organization XIII at a rise, it barely focused on Disney(no princesses of heart) and the Final Fantasy characters had less importance, sort of(thank god).

So, Kingdom Hearts 1- BAD. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories(which even had a manga) and KH2- GOOD.

An interesting thing to share, I'm playing the series backwards. I first played Kingdom Hearts 2 then Re:CoM, then 358/2 Days, now I recently bought Kingdom Hearts on Halloween 2009 (and I hate it). Then I playing Birth by Sleep.

Your tears sustain me.

Obligatory Snow-punch scene will be included. Then Sora will see it.

"HEY, COME ON NOW. THERE'S NO NEED TO FIGHT. YOU CAN SORT IT OUT WITH WORDS, RIGHT?"

And Lightning will back off, because he reminds her of Hope and his youthful optimism reassures her that everything will be all right.

The odds of that happening are... extremely likely, given how dull and unexciting the Kingdom Hearts games are.

I just know it's going to fucking happen.

Oh lauwd

Personally, the FF character inclusion is nice but not necessary. Kingdom Hearts has always been "Square Enix x Disney" and they can implement that in any way they want. Obviously they can't make new Disney characters so they use the ones already made and make new Square-Enix type (yes, there is definitely a type) characters. Just look at the boxart of "The Bouncer", you'll be like "OMG it's a cooler Sora and his name is Sion!" The inclusion of FF characters were like a bonus, mostly because some of them were of Nomura's design and he felt like including him. I also think Nomura, albeit kind of jokingly, said he was afraid of getting sued for using characters that weren't "his" per say.

I wouldn't put it past Square Enix to do something like that in a future Kingdom Hearts game, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't mind having FF charaters in KH, but I would rather have more original characters and plots, instead of having it revolve around FF cameos.

It's not called 'Final Fantasy: Kingdom Hearts' for a reason.

Like wise, I am dead against having KH characters in Dissidia.

I am with you.

Actually I didn't even liked Kingdom Hearts in the first place. But my family gave it to me and once I Started playing I didn't even cared about the Final Fantasy Characters in it. In fact The own KH characters are way interesting than the Final Fantasy one.
