Just some basic, basic photomanip for a project cover we're doing -- we're making a brochure for a designated country trying to convince people to vacation there. Mine is China. :x
I'm not all that pleased with it. Mainly... it's the text. I doubt it's going to stay like that, eheheh. I'm sort of satisfied with the effects I did putting the older Chinese structures in the background of Shanghai... but that's about it. XD Everything else... I think it's only decent by a margin.
Yes, I am lacking in english skills today.

I might also use it as a basic template for my overall brochure... maybe. Probably not. Suggestions pleeaaase? .___.
ninja edit: I didn't bother to erase the line through the flower because... one, I was lazy and two, I felt like killing flowers.

I think its great! It looks really professional. I don't see any problem with the font though :P

Lol, Karen, you already know what I think about it.
Love the top half, but the bottom right is really hard on my eyes. I don't know if red and blue really go together, but guess it works.
I like the text the best. 8D Garamond totally owns my socks.
And about the flower -- I HAVE THAT TOO XD practically everybody has that brush, hee.

It's not a brush... it's a shape. xD
Anyway, I asked around and most people don't think it's all that crammed, and the people who do think that it doesn't create a negative effect. Thanks for your input though, it helped. :] I'll keep it in mind in the future. And the red and the blue; I didn't really want to change the colours too significantly because they're all landmarks from China... personally though, I hate the colours too. Bottom line is though, I'll keep it as it is...
... 'cept for the line. I'll get to that one day.
Kitmitsu and TF, thanks for your input. ^^ I'm really glad that you think it looks professional; it's sort of what I was going for. 8D
Anyway, now I have to devise some crappy layout for the rest of the brochure. Ick. [sweatdrops]

Lol Karen, I really have to get myself a laser printer soon. My printer butchered my health project completely -- it took like, half an hour to print one page, and it looks like crap. The cover of it USED to look good, until the fateful day I printed it. :0 Which was today. Just now.
Aaaand I still think it looks crammed, but do as you wish.

I like that simple flower :) The font is nicely put as well.
I don't think it looks that crammed, but I would make the overlaying buildings more subtle. It gets a bit confusing sometimes. I would also include a light blue gradient to suggest a sky as well. The white seems a bit too harsh (?)
Is there a reason for the tilted buildings?

Ahh, the sky is present in the picture and it fades out to the white, but it might be too light for your monitor to properly display it. I'll keep it in mind.
Yeah, it gets confusing on some levels, but I tried making the buildings less noticeable -- it looks really wimpy that way. I was trying to get a sharp and violent effect at the bottom, so I don't know how I'd make the bottom any less confusing.
Tilted buildings... LOL... the original stock was taken at an angle and I never noticed until I finished and was like, 'Is that coca cola building falling over?'
Thanks. XD
