Why make a thread? Just bump one of your four other ones in this section.

Anyway, this guy is wrong simply because his opinion isn't the same as mine. We all know that my opinion is the only right one.

Why must we always argue on someones opinion?
Because it isn't the same as anothers opinion. Did you not get the MEMO, I write history as I think it up.

Worst final boss ever: Necron in FF9.

What the hell was the point of the Necron? It seems like they had to put in another final boss battle because Kuja was pathetically easy to beat. Now, don't get me wrong, I think FF9 is a great game, but the end battle with the Necron appearing from nowhere and with no prior mention is one of the worst moments in the series.
--------------

Best Character: Laguna (FF8)

He had the most development of pretty much any character in the whole series - his story spans 20 years, and encompasses love, death, tragedy, comedy, the whole nine yards. He was a brilliantly written character and how can you not sympathise with a man who has lost two of his loves? (Julia and Raine). I also like the fact that he was Squalls father, but they didn't resort to doing an Empire Strikes Back style "I am your father!" type scene.
-------------------

Most Underrated: FF10-2

Yes, really.

This game had plenty of good ideas like the dresspheres, the chapter/mission structure, the fact that it had plenty of replay value with the different story paths and a fast, easy to use battle system. People tend to put this one down because they think it's too girlie or they didn't like the way that Yuna and Rikku had they look changed, but there is actually a lot of depth here, and to be honest I thought the story was a lot better than some people will have you believe. It doesn't have the same sense of impending doom that FFX had, but why should it? This is about what happens to the heroes after they save the world, how their lives and outlooks change. I like the fact that Yuna is motivated to go on another adventure not because it's her duty to save the world, but because she wants to find out what really happened to Tidus. It's about a young girl trying to put the past to rest and seeing if she can move on in her life - to my mind a more mature and deep concept than the usual 'save the world from the evil maniac' storylines. Saving the world does feature, but it's really not the main focus of the story. There is much in this game to like, but sadly many people only assess it on a superficial level, which quite frankly is their loss.

Flame me if you like about this one, but really I don't care - I have perfect taste, you do not.

The defence rests.

Best Ending: FF8

This was the first FF game I played and I was absolutely amazed by the ending. The camcorder sequence is one of the best FMV's in the FF series and the emotional impact of the whole ending is immense. To date, I still don't think it has been bettered.

Point of Necron

Necron [VILLAIN] Show Images
(Aliases: Necron (NA), Eternal Darkness (JP)) The original destroyer, who's convinced that all life desires nothingness. His convictions become complete after viewing Kuja's demented actions. Zidane manages to dispel his beliefs by sending back to wherever the hell he came from. In Japan, he is called "Necrosis" or "Eternal Darkness" and was not in the game's original plans. Since the main theme of FF9 is living, Necron appears as the negation of that, giving the characters (and player) a chance to think about what it really means to live.

Reminds me of the Sleeping Gods from FFXI, the main Avatars. When they wake up they will either destroy Vana'diel back to nothing or allow it to continue. Everything points to destroy because all people seem to do is cause war and kill eachother. So Carbuncle decides to bring back the magic of summoning. If you can summon some of the Sleeping God to see the world as it is now it may sway their minds into letting life continue. At the same time that is what explains how there are a whole new generation of summoners.

notes, Sleeping Gods/ Terrestrial Avatars: Shiva, Garuda, Ifrit, Titan, Ramuh, Leviathan, Odin, and Alexander(not sure yet)
Celestial Avatars: Carbuncle, Fenrir, Diabolos, Phoenix, Bahamut

In Japan, he is called "Necrosis" or "Eternal Darkness" and was not in the game's original plans.

This is my main complaint about the Necron - it just feels tacked on, like SE felt that Kuja wasn't a good enough final boss so they had to come up with an arbitrary "ultimate enemy" to challenge the player at the end. It just reeks of laziness and poor planning.

True but they fitted him in perfectly though when you think about it. At the same time, yeah it felt out of placed kind of like KH's fight this guy 4 times. We only need to fight him twice at the end of the game. And no Kuja wasn't enough, once I beat him I was cheering and shit then "Life deserves nothing" came on the screen and I flipped. Great impact right there.
