Wasn't the only game I wanted but I was deciding between a PS3 and 360 and took the more expensive option after seeing the trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and from the moment I saw that trailer I had fallen in love with the game it was just amazing and Nomura being my favorite developer I knew he wouldn't let me down so not knowing about the gameplay and having to wait 3+ years for the title to release didn't matter to me.

And I don't think they needed to slap together a crappy 30 second clip to let people know the game is being developed. Just tell us it's being worked on and where it's at, that's all we want to know.

I at least hope they can start trickling out details about the game for the next 3 months and then show a lot of visual media in January.

Well, can't say I'm surprised at what happened in that chapter. From the moment they revealed Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi I knew eventually Kishimoto would come out with a third ability and I knew that Sasuke would be the one to learn it. By the time I saw that episode where Itachi first used the Mangekyou Sharingan's abilities, I knew about Japanese mythology. Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi and Susanoo (who's also from Digimon Frontier/season 4) are brother and sister. Amaterasu is the goddess of the sun, Tsukiyomi is the god of the moon, and Susanoo is the god of the sea and storms. I always knew Kishimoto would reveal a third ability of the Mangekyou Sharingan because he had already revealed two of the three siblings. It was only a matter of time. I'm just surprised he came out with it so late.

I know this has nothing to do with Final Fantasy 13 but I ad to share my thoughts on Naruto.

Ya gotta put spoiler tag's around it, you might ruin it for someone who watches the anime, it really suck's when you get a big spoiler like that in anything. So...

Was surprised how well he can use Susanoo so well and have the chakra to keep using MS technique's, Itachi could barely use Amaterasu near his end and Sasuke is Jizzing it all over the place. This is a spoiler for the next chapter too so don't read it if you don't want to know yet, Sasuke susanoo is hit with acid from either Mizukage or thcikage(can't spell) and Sasuke's whole body is in pain from susanoo absorbing some of his life force, Madara will also show up and help Sasuke(he loses) so will Zetsu, Sasuke will be out of chakra and Madaa will tell the Kage's about the eye of the moon plan, Im also VERY suprised that Sasuke can fight the Kage's at once like that, his eye's should be a bit Fucked after spamming so many MS technique's too

As for Versus, I hope they don't change him round too much and give us the option to use his Jedi clothes at some point in it.

Regarding the game's fields, Nomura added that Versus will probably have more natural landscapes than Final Fantasy XIII (I recall him having said something like this this in the past).

I liked the idea of Noctis being chauffered around, it gives him a powerful look. If he was riding around on his bike it would be.... not as powerful looking and this would disappoint me. I like Noctis because he is powerful both politically (gangster politics) and physically.

The engine was already there when they showd the first trailer back in 06.
Versus was first announced in 06, so the game had to be for some time in developement. i'd say preproduction 04/05. ok, and look at the year we have now.
how rediculous is that, that they dont have any new footage (absolutly nothing) in fucking 4 years. are you happy with that? im not and im tired of it. i dont care about Versus anymore, because ive lost my hopes and expectations.

Moving on, I agree with what Carbon said. Has it been a long time since the game was announced? Yes. And will it be longer before the release date comes out? Of course. But, if you keep focusing on that, the game will seem farther and farther away.
So, get into some sports, read some books, replay some Final Fantasies, play some other games, learn Chinese, or whatever else it is you're interested in, and it won't seem that far away.

I'm getting the vibe that Versus will get the same treatment next year that XIII got this year. Consistent info flowing in monthly until it reaches it's peak, and then it is advertised for 2 months and comes out Winter 2010 in Japan. Maybe that's just me.
