FFVIII now in jp PSN

Now we also have available FFVIII. But, in Japanese PSN only, but I think this will be in EEUU and EU Store soon.

I own FFVIII for the PC and for the PS1. I played this game soooooo many fucking times, I loathe to pick it up again. Even though seeing Squall do Renzokuken in Dissidia made me interested in FF8 again.

Were FF9 to be released on the PSP, that would be kewl. I've played FF9 numerous times as well, but I'd love to play it on the PSP.

If only you could download them directly to your PSP instead of having to do it through a PS3, which I don't yet own.

It will most likely be brought to other territories. I can't wait as my Disc 2 for FFVIII got a crack in it somehow and I've never bothered to pick up another copy although you can pretty much only get it on Square's official site now. And it will be nice playing on PSP and such.

I still have my original copy too, plus a hacked PSP with a memory card big enough to fit all of it and more. Still, this is good news in case somehow all of the above mentioned stuff happens to fail on me at the same time :awesome:

This was great news when I first heard it on the liveblog, I'm going to really enjoy playing the game seeing as it'll be my first time through it. :aldo:

if SquareEnix would remake Final Fantasy VIII and make another part of it then it would be great , it's my favorites game.

Are you serious? Have you not seen what SQuenix do to direct sequels and add-ons for already well established game worlds?
Look what a travesty they made for FFVII, and FFX with their sequels and compilations and whatnot. Not forgetting FFXII aswell of course.
Added to that, FFVIII was not the sequel type of game, it was pretty well tied off unless they bring in some kind of alternate universe/future/past, which would be about the worst idea ever.
