Voice speculation

Now I have been looking over threads from the past and the ones going on now, about things like predictions on characters and the story. and i was just wondering if anyone else thought about this already. In thirteen and others FF games there have been characters w/accents from all around the globe, this often tends to change peoples perception about the character. I was thinking if maybe any characters in this game may have some sort of accent, either the secondary characters or even Noctis, if so that might explain why Nomura said when North Americans her him speak they might not like him. N/E ways its just a thought i was wondering what your takes on this might be.

Hmmm...never thought of it that way. Actually, the only thing I rather enjoyed in FFXII were the different accents. I think Noctis having an accent would add depth to his character.

However, I can't really picture Noctis having an italian accent. :blink:

Ahhh! That would be cool. The only thing is that I don't think him having a british accent would alienate the North American audience. Judging from the translation of the Noctis & Stella's cutscene, Noctis's somewhat clever dialogue didn't necessarily match his quiet demeanor. Maybe that's why Nomura thought the American audience may not like his "voice".

IDK, I'm just brainstorming here. But yeah...I wouldn't mind Noctis having a british accent. :wub:

for the burly scarred guy, i think the irish accent suits him. Noctis : british, i guess? ...and for shotgay, the usual californian accent.

I doubt if they have accents they will be very noticeable. Which is a shame, because after playing Dragon Quest VIII and seeing how well their varied range of accents worked out, I think it could work out really well. But the FF series generally has dumbed down versions of foreign accents rather than the real thing, and I'm afraid the same will probably be true of the XIII games.

noctis should sound irish. it'd make fans go crazy because they speculate him to have a cool voice. having him talking very irish make the games ten times more interesting.

OMG! Those were almost the exact same VA's I was thinking about for the game. *creepy*

Steven Blum would probably be better as the voice of the villian.
Crispin would be great as the bald guy (FFVII AC- Rude :rolleyes:)
I more picture Johnny playing Noctis for some reason. Johnny has always had that "I'm the main character" type voice. He's just gotta sound older & more serious.

Vic Mignola (sp?) LOL! Definitely should playa guy character. :lol:
Wendee's voice comes across as annoying most of the time. So I hope her character dies early in the game. ^_^
