Noctis Is So Sexy!

Now, this thread isn't about fangirlism, but your theories on the game.

Well, that's kind of the whole point. We know little to nothing about this game, so we can bascially say whatever theory we feel like. :D

So, what do you think the characters' weapons will be like? Noctis has his flying-sword-spear thingies and sword-that-sounds-like-a-chainsaw (go back and look at the trailer; the sword goes 'vroom', I'm totally cereal), and Shotgun guy has his shotgun. What about glasses guy and scar-over-eye guy?

I think glasses guy uses his car to run people over. Later on in the game, he'll probably lose his car and cry in a very emotional cutscene.

And the story; what do you think it's about? On the trailer it says "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking that makes it so."

In the past FF games, the good and evil side was made very clear. I think in this game, the "bad" side will actually have a pretty good reason for what they're doing, and maybe Noctis' side will be the "evil" one.

So, what do you guys think?

I like that whole, "Glasses guy will use his car to run over people" bit! Unfortunately, if I'm not mistaken, I think there's a thread for this already. But WTH, here's my idea...

I think that the playable characters are beings that are of greater status than mere humans (or at least Stella & Noctis) or can be called Gods. Since FFXIII is based on humans fighting some sort of God, Versus, meaning opposing or counterpart may be the opposite (Gods fighting humans) or something to that effect. And, like you said previously, they may be fighting an enemy that we as an audience don't view as being "evil". Not too sure on weapons yet...

Well, that's all I got so far. Oh...BTW, Noctis is Sexy!!! ^_^

It probably does, but please please please SE, don't make it cheesy. There are no words to describe my hate for Romeo and Juliet.

It's also said that the story will have a Hamlet theme. If it does, that guy sitting at the head of that long table could be Noctis' uncle and killed his father, though I doubt they'd make Versus that similar to Hamlet.

And, just another thought; it'd be really messed up if the party you were travelling with all betrayed you in the end. Or if Noctis betrayed his friends.

I think I read in a interview with Nomura that the romantic relationship may not be in the story...and if it is, it's not gonna be the same old boring predictable love story. So that's something to look forward to...I guess.

I like the idea of Noctis possibly on the badside. It could be kinda like Afro Samurai(anime movie), where you always root for the main char and despise the "bad guy", but in the end you realize afro is fighting for selfish reasons and the main "bad guy" is fighting for world peace. I hope FFV13 does something like that.

Okay. Calling the story right now.

The bad guys start to kill off Noctis's posse and/or family one by one. The emotional distress of the death of everyone he's ever loved causes him to start hallucinating and seeing things. It's too much to handle, so he dresses in his best suit and best dress shirt, because he's going out in style to cover the hurt.

He finally makes his way to the evil person's lair or whatever, and puts up a valiant fight, only to be killed by someone he thought was dead/close to him. As the bullet/sword/spell enters his chest, he falls to his knees, tears streaming down his face (this death sequence is all in slow motion, mind you). As he finally hits the ground, and his final breath is taken, Somnus will start to play as the camera slowly pans out. Then, the credits roll.

You forget the part where Stella runs frantically to his side, drops to her knees, and bawls her head off saying, "Why couldn't have been me??" Then the camera pans out & fades to black...:P
