Sereh Playable...?

I was wondering do you think Serah will be playable?
Do you want Serah to be playable or would you rather a new character?
What weapon do you think Serah would use and what summon would she have?

I hope that she isn't playable. I don't like her... she's the first revealed character that I don't like. Personally, I hope she turns into a Cie' corpse so we can be done with her. If she is playable, which I kinda doubt she is, I won't EVER use her (unless the game makes me) at which point I'll probably KO her/ let her by KO'ed.

My personal opinion is that she'll be a playable character. I don't remember off the top of my head any sibling of a main character in the FF series being an NPC except as a villain. And wit that said, with me not knowing much, if anything of the general story of FFXIII, is it possible she could be a villain in some way, or being manipulated/controlled by the known villains unwittingly?

She doesn't seem like she'd be as strong or useful as some of the other characters in battle anyway, like vanille seems to have the party buffing/healing on locke so we'll see. lol

If she is playable, I think it would be later on in the game....seeing as she gets all crystallized and they have to save her.

Seeing as how she is a L'Cie, she may be playable temporarily. If SE has went thru all the trouble to make her a L'Cie, she must have some significant purpose to which she will have to participate in battles. If I were to take a guess as to what weapon she would use, I would say either a staff or that round white object connected on the outside of her left leg.

She doesn't seem much physically stronger than Vanille. I don't think she will be a playable character. If she is then maybe just as a "guest" - only for a while. I think most of FFXIII's story will revolve around her. I do like her but she seems so young and naive. She doesn't look much older than Hope. :|

If she is playable she would most likely be a magic caster like Vanille.

Hmmmm yes that is a good point, I think she'll be temporary or you play as her in like a flashback or something.

^_^ I think she will. She's a L'Cie and when your one of them, you get to obtain your own summon (Eidolon?). Soooo..... Since we're playing characters who are L'Cie"with summons", why wouldn't we get to play Serah?

But, your probably right about being playable in a flashback. Her and Snow would most likely team up a couple of times to defeat some enemies.

All the written points below are purely my speculations:


1) Serah Won't be playable, She is a L'Cie but she faild at completing her focus so she's now turned into Crystal/later a into a Cie Corpse.

2) Serah is the core/key very important character in the story plot.

3) Serah now is in a position where she can't fight but rather in a position she must be protected.

Agreed, I think FFXIII has the most beautiful female characters in the series!

Come on, look at Lightning, Vanille, Serah, Leabrue, Jail, Tattood Woman L'Cie.

I think we have a great group of females this title like 100% :lol:.


But on the other side, look at the male Characters we have:

Snow, Sazh, Hope, Dajh, Yaag, and the two guys from the team Nora I forgot their names. I think they are like 80%.

I really hope for other decent male characters (Strong and Handsome):rolleyes:.

For like 10 minutes i was trying to find a picture of sereh, and then i relize someone had a picture of her already. Anyway she looks really cool and she reminds me of penelo (my favorite character in ff 12) i think it would be great if she was a playable character, it would also even up the numbers. I mean so far there are three guys and two girls, if sereh joins the ranks it will be even and just like ff 12 too.

I'll agree that Siren probably belongs to Serah, just stuff in on a character that we only play for a short while, if Lvl 7 enemies have 16k HP I'm not going to waste time putting them to sleep.

My words hold no malice or contempt, but you're free to interpret them as such. I will say, however, that taking an immediate dislike to a character you know nearly nothing about and absolutely refusing to change your opinion regardless of later evidence strikes me as an unenlightened and close-minded stance. Worth mentioning too, is that beyond hair color and being female, the two don't look much alike, their manners appear to be completely different, and the way they dress is night and day. Hm.
