It's too soon to tell right now, but it would be an interesting thought to use it, just don't make it like the fucking WII where EVERY SINGLE game uses that shit. >.>

They did mention an idea they had where if you use a fire spell, the little ball would turn red. Since it's square enix were talking about, then this is not likely. However, after the tech is released though, LucasArts has no excuse not to make a 1st person lightsaber game.

Could not agree more.
I don't know how it would work really. I mean slashing for every attack might get a little repetitive.

The WII..pfft. I don't even want to hear it, but oh well. It all depends on the gameplay of Versus XIII. They said it is an Action RPG—Knowing me..I wouldn't want to use one in any rpg.

Yeah. Hopefully RPGs will never go down that road.

IMO that would only work if you had two wands to control the "circle" of weapons, and your charater or something.
Perhaps like those gloves in Minority Report? lol But no, this will never happen.

This doesnt sound like something squareenix would do. I think it would really lower the quality of the game(maybe). But I think Nomura did say he had a suprise or something to show about versus... maybe this could be it...

This game is under development from 3 years.
I higly doubt they will throw away all they have done gameplay-wise to change it into something new :wtf:

Lol Sixaxis.
But no, I highly doubt Versus would use this and it would be a pretty big let down if it did.
I don't have any problem with the idea behind the Wii Remote, or Natal, or the Sony Wand. I do have a problem when developers feel inclined to take this stuff and throw it into games where it's not needed at all. Not every type of game benefits from motion control, and I hope developers don't look at the new motion devices in the same way they look at the Wii Remote. It's ridiculously overused.

I wouldn't mind using the Sony wand. It would be something differernt...something SE has not implemented in previous titles as of yet. And seeing as how it's an action RPG, it's possible. Also, I think I read somewhere that it would also follow the gameplay format of a third-person shooter. So the wand would be useful and innovative if that's the case. ^_^

mm,its possible since the ffvxiii is still in development, anything possible but i think better not to use those motion controller in ff,it would ruined the classical control.

No way versus will be using the wand unless it's like an alternate controller or something, want to know why? It's simple really the timeline is off for versus to be a motion controller game, the wands aren't even close to ready and Versus has been in developer for a few years now I think, Versus will probably hit the market before the wands although it is a unique though

Tilt controller to the left to talk to this unimportant person. Flick controller to recharge.

It would probably play out like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In fact, I can already see how the gameplay would be with the Sony Wand in my head. And it actually looks pretty nice, how I visualize it. But I wouldn't like to see Versus use the Wand though, the Wii Remote is the whole reason why I don't like the Nintendo Wii, I always have to swing my arm around needlessly and that's just too much work and I get tired. I'd rather just mash the buttons and risk the chance of arthritis in later years.

Playing versus with the wand just looks plain stupid.
It just doesnt... go together. >>

I'm not entirely sold on the wand yet, and I think a game like versus would be less than stellar for an early attempt at using it for Squenix.... I would hope that they'd test the waters with a brand new IP before throwing it into a well established and respected one, regardless of whether or not it is a "side story" game such as this.... Rather at this point, I feel more attached to versus than I do XIII anyways, so all the more....
