Obviously, graphics aren't only about comparing the res of textures from a screenshot, but also the accumulated affect of an entire package; technical solidity, art design, direction, quality of motion capture, size and breadth. There's also the indefinable 'something' that makes us find something particularly beautiful, that pretty much supplants all those other factors. For example, I found FFXII to be a more amazing visual experience than Elders Scrolls Oblivion, which was a great game BTW.

Having said that, those pics look much better than the shit I've seen from it previously.

At least try to sum up a fair comparison. GOW3 is an action game and runs at 60FPS, Gears 2 is a TPS and runs at 30fps. There are more variables than just this looks better than that. I agree with you on the point, but its not one worth souding like an troll over

Yeah graphics are nice, but that not what draws me to God of War. It's the game play and storyline that I enjoy the most.

Ive yet to play God of War 2 yet, so I havent really been following this game. Ive seen that trailer where he takes out the Centaur though. Epic.

I think the game looks great, some AA would help it out though. Some of the textures a little bland too.

It would look awesome in full 1080p.

They aim to have it playable at 1080p and at 60fps. I doubt they can pull that off, but one can always hope.
