Batman Arkham Asylum

I had my eyes on this game for a while now. Played the demo a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. Graphics, atmosphere and voice acting is very good. The most important thing - battles are great. It's fluid and you can fight off several enemies at once and it looks awesome. Also, taking people down when they are not aware of your presence is great.

I tried that demo, I didn't like it, but maybe that's because I got to hung up in the fack that there were stone gargoyles EVERYWHERE, and the fact that Batman took up the entire left screen throughout pretty much the whole demo. And In a sneaking game vision is important.
But yeah, the battlesystem was fluid, and the sneak take downs were fun.

Yeah these are the only two points I didn't like about it as well. Having a gears style camera in a game like Batman doesn't work and the gargoyle thing was verrry lazy of them.

Apart from that though, it is an awesome game.

I've been tempted to buy it to tide me over until Uncharted 2, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money.
I played the demo and it was fairly ok, nothing special. But didn't really make me want to buy it.
May consider renting it for shits and giggles when I'm drunk.

I pre-ordered this game for the PS3 the other day. Also, I believe the gameplay of the real game is not going as stale as the DEMO because you unlocked more moves and gadgets. Anywhoo, I cannot wait for this game and Harley Quinn FTW.

the demo was really enjoyable. i really liked the voice-overs by Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill.^_^

my only problem was harley quinn. is that the same person who did her voice before, or someone else?

It was okay. I usually don't like to wait determine my buys on reviews but I will for this one. As someone else said before I REALLY didn't like that Batman took up half the screen. It bothered me to no end.

It was the very beginning of the game, of course it is going to be somewhat stale. You had to wade through the fucking tutorial.

EDIT: I also can sorta agree on the gargoyle thing. I know that even in Arkham, those would not be everywhere, and there sure as hell wouldn't be 5 in one room. I wouldn't call them lazy for that, I am thinking they just wanted one thing for you to be able to spot and latch onto quickly.

If they wanted too, you could just aim, and shoot pretty much anything. But, it would make running away away from fire much harder, and the damage from the guns is quite high and fast.

played the demo but it was rather big for such short demo.
finally things became interesting when you meet a boss then a trailer pops up.
let me down, game looks good though.

Musttt resist getting this game... so I can save up for Uncharted, Ratchet and Final Fantasy!!
However if anything, this game is getting some good reviews so far...

EDIT: aww man it's $38.80 if you buy it the first day at Wal-mart (Canada), I wanna buy it now D:
