Well as i write this i have been here for 4 hours waiting for the Ea server to be contacted through 2142. Its not like i've just been impatient and tried starting the game again, the game has been sat on for 4 hours just saying "Failing to "con"tact server because we are lazy ass bastards" You think the $87 million they get every year through games would be enough to have more than 1 Windows 95 run server, but nooooo...

Your PC must be fucked then because ive never had problems connecting to servers on battlefield. It takes like 10 mins but it never fails to connect O_o

If you're pressing that Quick Play thing thats never worked. :lol: Not once.

Its the damn EA servers. They cut out at like 8 o'clocl every night. My internet connection is fine. Also, dude 10 minutes? When mine works it takes 3 seconds. DO NOT INSULT BILL. And quick play has never worked since battlefield 1942, do you think i'd trust it ever?

Update - Wow. Now i REALLY want to punch someone. After 4 hours "We cant find an internet signal. Would you like to play offline?" Yes, damn it anything ¬¬. The moment i get in "We have detected it. Would you like to try and reconnect?" Why not?

Now im back to god damn square one.

Ea arn't making Army of Two. They're endorsing it. In other words they get money for putting the disc in a box, meanwhile the programmers get the equivelant of nothing. Ea have made SOME good games, however its how they maintain them that sucks

Maybe not ten mins, but the time from clicking on a server name in the list to actually selecting a kid is usually at least 5 mins. Ive never had the problem youre describing though. D:

I've had these problems before. BF2142 is one of the most unreliable online games I've ever played, you'd think they would have improved since BF2. They're both great games but the downtime is really annoying. Also one thing I have noticed is they sometimes don't announce the servers being down until they actually are offline. I think sometimes the servers go offline and they think "FUCK! quickly, tell everyone its scheduled maintenance or something!"

Army of Two is being made by EA like Dante says but by a different team. That should mean less mistakes hopefully.

While it's good that they're making Army of Two they also decided to make it for the 360. That's damning evidence that they're money grubbing fiends.

Oh and 2142 for me was like stabbing myself with hapiness. It was fun to play but the connection would end up going down for hours as soon as i decided to play.

Oh. I thought it was like 2142 where Dice made it and EA just said "well we'll run the servers if you make sure they never work"
