The beginning video being the end.

At the beginning of each trailer and throughout we see the prince slicing through soldiers of what appear to be his own kingdom, and dead bodies strewn about the halls inside. Could this video actually be somewhere near the end of the game and not the beginning as some people are suggesting. If so then it does seem to add to the hamlet feel that the game is portraying, and gives more question as to the events that lead up to that end. Plus it would also explain why the prince is so powerful at that point. If someone could respond that would be great. This is something that's been sitting in my head for a while. Whether your bashing my idea or exploring it I wanna hear your thoughts.

Actually, I quite like that idea. I love it when games are well thought through and really jumble your sense of how the game will pan out. Showcasing how it all will end is one of those interesting methods which deviates from the usual game trailers (and games in general).

If there was truth to this, then I'd imagine that Nocte draws his weapon at Stella as if there had been some sort of betrayal. As if he could no longer trust her and had no other choice than to remove her from his way.

Of course I highly doubt this is actually the case, but still, nice idea.

I think Nomura already said that the slicing part is near the end of the game, or rather hinted to it. I'm to lazy to find the interview but I believe his exact words were: "You won't reach the level of power seen in the trailer before the late in the game."

Yeah it would explain why he's a angry heartless loner. It would be good, i'm also going to assume that if this is in the latter part of the game, there will be another few twists............

Didn't Nomura say that the prince is forced out of his kingdom and goes on a journey with his friend's?
The building he walk's out of/ crystal building look's like the biggest one in the city when they're standing on the bridge.

And it look's like his city is being overun right there and he's trying to protect the crystal/building.
the idea's contradict each other if he goes on a roadtrip with his friend's, I can imagine Noctis ending up back in his city late in the game but to take it back not be defending it.

that doesn't necessary mean, that , that scene is nearly the end of the game.

because he only stated that we could reach that powerful level late in the game
but he didn't said anything of those scenes being the ending of the game.

Because as far as i see, that trailer's use could be, to show the fans how noctis, power will, be using a early scene of the plot.

maybe you DO start the game as a high leveled being, but lose your powers through some process/event in the beginning. it's an overused method that plenty of games are guilty of. metroid and god of war come straight to mind.

to be honest, that's how i thought v13 would play out. the good ol' cliche "work your way back to the top" routine. :rolleyes:

I really hope it doesn't, I don't like knowing my ultimate power's in game's from the start. I feel no sense of achievement when I get there again.

Edit: I mean if you have then lose it then get that strong again I just don't care.

Possible, but I find it unlikely, FF games have always been a path to power, and it's one of the reasons I like it. Seeing where you will end up at the start takes away the surprise, and than there's way less excitement.

Yeah, that seems like a valid point, considering that, being that powerful from the beginning of the game would be outrageous (But I wouldn't complain :D).

I was always under the impression that the mysterious robbed guy downgrades Noctis' power by taking the crystal or something...because he runs away and then fights Stella with 1 sword. Instead of more then 20 when he confronts the robbed guy.
And then there is the smoke coming from the area he's running away from, you see smoke emitting from that building later on when Noctis and the 3 other guys are on the roof looking at it.

Honestly though, these are all just guesses, the scenes are so jumbled and random that I have no idea how to logically fit them all together without making my head hurt.
If it is the end...cool, if not, alright then. Either way we will find out.

It's also like they're just walking away on the bridge scene at sunrise, I hope there's another explanation but this ^^^ seems most likely.

I suppose that when the trailer was shown, the story wouldn't be 100% complete (or at least not that detailed) I don't think it's the end, but I don't think it's the beginning either.

And parts like the stella's fight, and the metting with all those guys looking like mafia, (maybe, asuming they're the *bad* guys sorta, are talking about killing him or something like that? )
