First off: CITY IS NOT MADE BY ME!!! It came with the tutorial!

Finally, I got down some more basics of Maya, which enabled me to complete this tutorial from this magazine i got three years ago. I could maybe make it a bit more yellow, but the real-time render doesn't exactly match up with the full render. I may do background requests, but higher resolutions than VGA will cause a thermonuclear meltdown my processor...

nice job, btw. you should try adding more yellow portions, though. it's kinda orange-y.

Well, I'll just upload the tutorial as well, sorry about the title :aldo: The magazine is over three years old and it's not on the webpages of 3DWorld either, so I don't think they'll care.

I want to learn 3d modelling...
Which program?
3ds Max or Maya???

3DMax, Maya, it's all up to you. I prefer the GUI of Maya, but Max has a much larger share of tutorials. Some people use both, Max for modeling and May for texturing, and some add Z-brush for fine modeling. You'll just have to look around and decide, other 3D packages include Houdini, Lightwave and 4D cinema. I haven't tried these three so I can't say about those, but one thing's for sure: Stay the hell out of Blender unless you want to break something in a rage, because the camera is impossible to handle, and it relies too much on pressing specific keys.

But your choice is most of the time between Max and Maya.

BTW, I'll fix the tutorial later. This place refuses to accept a 23mb rar, so I'll just have to upload 30 images by themselves. Also, I'm gonna have a bit of a problem uploading the file with the city we're gonna blow up anyways, unless Kit can offer some help on the uploading.
