YouTube - Project Natal: E3 first look
This probably going to kick the WII "OFF" the charts as the 360 surpasses it.

There's no that would work that well, especially in an average person's price range. But no lie that is amazing. Yet this kind of stuff begins to make you wonder... hey why don't I just go outside?

I'd feel kind of.....empty.....without a controller. It doesn't feel right. I bet it feels kind of weird and silly to play a skateboard game without at least a controller or a controller board. The same goes for driving games. What is this, some scam to get people to exercise while gaming? I understand with fitness games, because this would be perfect for them, but for games like shooters, racing, and sometimes fighting games, it will lack alot (with an empty feeling).

exactly how much is this going to cost...if microsoft can find it in their hearts to not overprice it by 100% then people could actually find room in their budget to actually buy this cause it looks simply amazing, but as microsoft would expect, sony will soon design something that will "surpass" it and thus the wars will continue, have they confirmed its realese?

A TV show i saw the other day pointed that out - "hey look, gamers/MS have invented outside!"

I say let the Wii have its stupid motion controls. Do what's more important: making quality games that don't require silly gimmicks.

I think the Natal will be fun for a while, just like the Wii. but, here is the thing. I don't want to fucking sit in a chair and press down on a invisible gas pedal, or turn a invisible steering wheel; or for that matter, hold a invisible gun.
Natal will be used for casual games, end of story. The Wii has more potential for core games than Natal does.

Despite being and xbox owner, I think Natal will not do as well as Sony's motion controls. Not saying that Sony' offering will succeed, either.

This will not "knock the Wii off" by any chance. Wii sports coupled with the motion is what sold a lot of Wii consoles, not some shitty skating game. This is just an Eye Toy rip-off and all it will be is shit mini games like that thing she played on the stage demo.
I hate this whole "there's no need for the controller omg" bullshit. I like my PlayStation controller and I havent got the room or the effort in me to dance around my room like the prick just to play Devil May Cry. That kind of game will surely show up on this, right? Since they make such a big deal of controllers being barriers, it should become their standard... I bet it wont.

I welcome this motion control. It adds to the variety of games that our generation of gamers can play. People will be allowed to have a preference between motion or standard controller to play certain games. I am assuming that this whole "motion" control is still in it infant phase, so a load of criticisms are expected. I want to try this Project Natal game. Looks fun! I want to try the one from Sony, too.

I think people are being a little mislead by its ability's. Its going to be cool but I doubt its going the be the big "wow" people are expecting. I do think Sony's project will surpass this with quality and ability. Just my 2cents, no need for flames.

Natal in Portuguese means Christmas.
And thinking about relations starts... NOW!

I rather play something that I can physically feel rather than just touching air. I don't see any practicality in this at all, it may be something revolutionary but there's nothing enjoyable about it that I can see. Maybe except for the interaction between virtual and real world people. SONY's solution is more of a current desire, I think.

now i'm trying to remember didn't sony do something like this for ps2 before and it didn't do as good as they thought it would?

Yes it's called the Eye Toy and it was quite popular in its day.

I had some good fun with it when it came out, but I think this techonology will be a bit different

The other features for it are okay, such as a personal webcam and controlling stuff like movies and scanning, but when it comes to gaming, it's just a huge NO.

I can see a lot of drawbacks on this, like what about the people that can't stand up or what if you don't have enough space to move freely...like in an apartment or a dormitory...

If they make a new Time Crisis with the Sony or Natal tech, then I am sold, no questions asked. Best. Arcade game. EVAR.

Me and Hynad were talking about this awhile ago and how MS said the motion control will never take off. Then they pull this. But yeah it's just the eyetoy, end of story. I am not impressed at all with it, I don't care about motion controls.

i agree with you it really doesn't seem that impressive gaming wise unless it was just another thing for the wii and to me the wii still isn't impressive and i've played it so i already know where my money is NOT going

I think it is a grate move for microsoft if it can be pulled off right now. After all what microsoft is trying to do is make the 360 a all in one box. As of right now you can even inter act with your friends that don't have a 360 with face book and myspace. You can rent movies in HD also with out moving from your seat. They want you to turn on your 360 and get a pizza sent to your home. If you look at this is just for gaming you are not looking at the hole idear behind it. Yes it will be cool for games but what we think of video games is what you have been playing for yours. But the kids that are like 2 or 3 will not have that to fall back as we did.
