FFI & FFII For PSP [Archive] - Final Fantasy XIII Forums

Looks like with Final Fantasy being in its 20th year running Square-enix are being gernerous souls and releasing FFI and FFII for PSP this year.

Not much is known, and the site doesn't really help much with anything new about the games.
Possible FFI and FFII PSP revamp?

OLd news. besides who cares for FF1 and 2 anymore...theve been re-released like half A DOZEN times

I'd be more supportive of these releases if they were full 3D remakes like FF3 on DS, but sadly they're just the same old 2D versions rolled out yet again. These games should be downloads on PS Network or Xbox live rather than actual boxed releases.

It's nice that they want to commemorate Final Fantasy's 20th anniversary, but surely they could have come up with something better and more imaginative? If it was a PSP compilation disc with FF's 1 to 6 on it, that would be worth it, but of course they can make more money selling each game individually.

Well I think that FFI is a great game and people will keep buying it for the better graphics, one extra dungeon, and added secret boss or w/e no matter what because they are loyal, true is the argument that SE could just be cashing in on their fan's loyalty but the fact still remains that they are keeping these loyal fans happy by remaking the games with better graphics and sound quality so in the end everyone is happy, except for the people who aren't even going to but the game, it seems.

To be honest those plus Crisis Core, and Lions War are the reason I'm purchasing a PSP. Of course I'll be one of the first to pre-order Dissidia Final Fantasy. :D

I want them, but why use the PSP with 2D when it does good 3D graphics.
