Okay so I was about 99% sure that I would be getting a job at Papa Johns with my sister today but it turns out, they can no longer hire me due to the fact I failed the personality test.
So now I'm totally fucked for money.

So let me get this straight, people have to take a 60-100 question test, and a COMPUTER gets to decide if I have the RIGHT personality for the job. Give me a fucking break what is the world coming to. No human being in that store besides my sister knows me, how the fuck is a computer supposed to determine what kind of person I am.

I know what I did wrong though, I answered that damn thing honestly, and I got fucked for it. Next time I'm ever faced with this I am gonna lie as much as possible, just so I'll seem like the perfect little employee.
Whoever came up this shit is a cunt who needs to be put in front of a firing squad.

IS PISSED OFF.

So has anyone else failed this joke of a test?
What do you guys think of it?

I'm not laughing at you for not gain the job.

I think the fact that people truly believe that a computer can seriously tell if someone is suitable for something is just hilarious :aldo:

This brings us to an important question.

Why the hell did you ever even consider answering the questions with honesty?

Because I thought that my personality wouldn't be a problem. I answered most of the questions saying that I would work hard and was confident and all that shit. I honestly don't quite understand it myself.
I only realized after what they really wanted me to fill out.

No, they will probably scrap that process completely and make every one take these retarded tests. I felt like cousing out the manager but I just left.

That happened to me once. It was with a company that I worked with previously and they called me up to offer me a job. They knew ahead of time that I was a good worker but I failed the test so they couldn't offer me a job. These companies are getting really lazy. They should check references, previous employers or do a background check.

And why do you even need to take a personality test on a computer to work at a pizza chain? :wtf: It's not your fault this is what unfortunately what happens when people do things honestly and the fact we are now using computers to decide if a person should receive a job since they don't know everything and people now are too lazy to do an actual background check to see if you really are a good person to work there.

Quote of the Day... or rather "Question"

By the way does anyone know how those things work?
I mena I know there are levels going by colors like yellow green and red and some other colors but I'm just wandering.

I know that some tests require that you answer them HONESTLY. Not giving the employer what they want to here. Here's a qustion I've seen alot:

Would you steal if you had the chance?
Heres another one that bugged me:
A coworker, whose been working in the company for more then five years, has been taking money for the past three months. At the end of the three months, he gradually repays for what he stolen. In the mids of it all, the manager sees the missing losses and fired the coworkder for what he's done.
Do you agree with what the manager did?

And ofcourse there are those responnses that really put you to the test.

I hate those freaking things.

Kind of restricting, being able to answer with only "yes" and "no" for a good number of the questions they throw on those tests. That being said, I'm not sure how you could fail it if you had half a brain. They're not at all difficult to bullshit.

I wouldn't say so all the time, apparently however you're making money now seems to say otherwise... :)

Late, but:

That's ridiculous if only because some people do actually have integrity and would agree with the manager (they shouldn't have taken the money in the first place) or wouldn't steal even if the opportunity arose. Sure, it may come across as "what they want to hear" but it doesn't change the fact that's how some people really feel about the situations.

As for the OP:

There's no way a computer can decide whether or not a person is qualified for a job, because they can't interpret answers the way a person can. They can't determine tone, facial expressions, or "nervous movements" that occur when a person isn't being honest.

I don't know how the whole hiring process works at places that use this system, but if it's done in order to save money by not having to pay personnel to do it then it's probably for the better that you didn't get the job, and you can find a company that appreciates it's applicants enough to actually let them talk with a person and not a machine.

Gonna have to agree with neanderthal here.

Youre best off finding a company who values people enough to see them face to face and actually conduct a background check.

I mean, you could lie, but if youre above that, then youre better off with a faulty human than a faulty computerized system.
