hello :aldo:
so um, as everyone knows the european PSN is really really shitty. nevermind the fact that depending on the country you select, you cant even choose your own desired language but are instead shoved with the country's official national languages. for fucks sake i hate french - anyway, thats besides the point.
there's a store for each country right, and well if you live in say france you only get the french versions. but i dont want that, i'd like the english versions of my games now. and for this i'd have to enter the english store.
so my question is, how do i go about downloading games from the english PSN, assuming there is a way to bypass this clusterfuck system? do i really just create an english account, buy the game and download it to my psp? are there really no draw backs to this at all? i ask this in advance because the last time i tried doing anything psn related it resulted in me drowning in my own fit of rage then later falling unconscious.
thanks in advance.

As far as i am aware, when you create a European PSN you are allocated the language depending on your IP address, where you reside basically.
When i created my PSN originally i was able to choose my language, considering i did mine online before the Playstation 3 was even out :wtf:.
But I don't know if that truly is the case, I'm only making assumptions. You could always try creating a PSN account online, which is probably alot more easier, that or create a US account.
I DON'T KNOW FGSFDS. :kira:

I am from Croatia and we don't even have a PSN (stupid square doesn't care about small countries) so I can't enter ps store unless I create an account in another country, lets say Briatin. it's easy. the only thing you need to be careful is when it asks your adress type in an adress from the country you want to create an account in. in my case Britain. the only thing i'm not sure is when you download stuff that's not free does your credit card have to be from that chosen country. but i think it doesn't matter because my friend downloaded stuff that had to be paid for some time ago with an american account.
did i say stupid square? i meant stupid sony...

Free items are fine, you can just download them. To download priced items from international stores, you need to have a credit card issued in that country.
Or Entropay (http://www.entropay.com/). I haven't tried it myself, but people seem to use it a fair bit for foreign stores, so you may want to give that a spin.

I'm not sure over paypal. :wtf:
I thought it was only Debit/Credit cards or vouchers that could be used.

Whoever told you that is a liar. You should beat them up. Record it, though, and put it on YouTube. For lulz, obviously.

I created a US account. Now I buy most things from there, plus I save a lot of money.
An example would be that FFVII is priced at 100KR in the Swedish store and 10USD in the American one. If I buy it from the American store I save 20%. It also has more content. I have bought both Suikoden and Wild Arms. If you don't have a credit card I don't know if it works though.

Tried changing the language on your PS3? :wtf: Other than that, no idea I'm afraid. Like Cath said it's probably based off IP address which you cant get around on the PS3 very easily.

It's some music video thing I think. You can download it off PSN.

It just lets you stream music videos on your PS3.
Nothing mind blowing unfortunately.

Huh... I've never heard of Entropay until now. I guess that can give some use for my Japanland PSN account.
Many thanks. :aldo:

I second that. I think the only reason I go on there is for the add-ons I need?-_-
