What does everyone want to see in future FF games? Post your ideas for gameplay, characters, world design, anything you like. It doesn't matter whether your suggestions are serious or complete random nonsense.:)
I'd like to see a FF game where the in-game characters actually looked like those drawn by Yoshitaka Amano. He is credited with character design on the early games in the series, but the in-game sprites obviously didn't look anything like his concept artwork. I would love to see his unique willowy, wispy character designs accurately recreated in in-game graphics. I appreciate that this would be very hard to do, but it would be great if it were possible.
Gameplay-wise, I'd like to see cities that were more alive, with events happening around the player, where you could watch people just going about their everyday business like talking to others, going to bars/shops or getting into fights etc - kind of like GTA in some respects, I guess. It would make the game world more believable instead of the existing games where people just stand there waiting for you to come and talk to them so that they can say one of their 2 lines of dialogue. It would be good if the feel of the city would change depending on the time of day, so in daytime shops and markets would be thriving but at night bars would be open and drunkards or muggers would be on the streets. FFXII has the most convincing towns/cities of any FF game so far, but there's a lot they could do to improve them.
