Hey everyone, I just got done making a new Final Fantasy XIII theme for the PS3, and wanted to share it with everyone to get some feedback. The theme consists of two 1920x1080 FFXIII pics from the SE website you can download for free. It has custom icons, and it also has FF7 menu sound effects attached. I also made a Final Fantasy Advent Children Theme too if you are interested in that. The download link for the XIII theme is as follows.....

It looks great, perfectly blends in. Hopefully when the new sounds from FFXIII gets released you will be able to implement it onto this theme.

I actually have the theme song that they have on the website. I just do not know how to implement the song into the theme and have it play in the background when you are on your PS3 dashboard. If anyone knows how please tell me so I can customize them more. I also have a Final Fantasy Advent Children one I just completed. If you would like to try it out just say so and I will upload it for download.

You can't do that. It would be annoying as fuck as well.

Yeah I just figured that out two hours ago :(.... I turned the MP3 into a VGA, but the file was too large, and crashed my PS3 Theme Builder program. 2 hours worth of work down the drain.....(sighs)....

:EDIT: "Here is a new preview image I just made to show everyone better what this looks like with the icons and everything."

Created a new background. Might use it as a theme. Any comments on it?...http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Chaoscharge/FinalFantasyFabulaCrystallis.jpg

Wow that is an awesome wallpaper. Too bad it isn't 1024 x 768 though, so I could set it as my wallpaper. Lol.

Also Noctis' hair look's kinda fucked

Because of the lighting and shadowing I did on the edges, and the middle (behind the icon). I knew it looked odd, but nothing I can really do about it.

Keep an eye on this post because I am redo-ing as we speak. Yeah the hair was messed up, and when I looked closely so was her cape. Plus her resolution was something to be left desired. It will probably take me a few hours since I am doing some other things, but I will post the verson 1.2 (if you will) of this background after I am done.....Stay tuned...

The border should be behind Lightning, and the FFXIII logo looks terrible in that spot. As a matter of fact, make the line behind the XMB (the larger, thicker one) skinner. It has too much free space on the top of it; it doesn't match the bottom.

I would even push Lightning over to the right some more, shrink her down, and put the logo over there somewhere. Or just use the logo, and not lightning considering her hair sticks out in the pink line behind the XMB.

That one was just a quick piece of work. The background is from the Japanese Final Fantasy site. I can not move the icon around, or do whatever with the border. All I did was use their HD wallpaper, and added the XMB lines that you can find anywhere on the web. I was satisfied with everything except the hair lines, and the skinny pink line. That line needed to be a bit thicker, and the hair needed to be trimmed better. My bad on those, but as for the rest...too me the logo is in good position, and the character should protrude ahead of the lines instead of being behind. That is just me though...everyone has their own likes/opinions and is free to them.

Nice themes ... and you can try using this image to fix the hairlines on that wallpaper (I ripped this image from the official site a while ago. I made a thread with all my rips somewhere). Here you go. The background is transparent and its pretty HQ.

Wow, nice image. Thanks for showing me this. I don't know though...the hair is always the hardest part because of the fine strands. Maybe I am just doing the concept in a noob way, but I have to first take this and put it as layer 1, and then paste the background I want do a linear burn, and then erase the background off of her image. I will have to go back and redo this theme after awhile. Right now after doing 5 projects in a row I am "photoshopped" out haha...

it looks fine if you just use it as a layer on top (paste it on top) of your background as there's just a subtle glow from the hair which actually looks good.

I don't know....still a PITA. I think I am going to take another two day's off from working on Photoshop. My car needs to be cleaned, and tuned. I could do that in the mean time while I am "on break"...
