As the title suggests, any recommended PSP games that I should get (preferably good RPG's or even games that have just come out in Japan will work).

O.O.........................maaaannnn thanx. Main reason that i'm asking this is because I recently got my PSP hacked (again) and now I can get pretty much any game that I want, even new releases out in Japan. Thanks again for the help.

A friend did it for me. Look it up on youtube. All I really know is that you need a special battery or something along with other stuff to eventually add a custom firmware (ex. mine is version 5.00 m33-6) to the PSP, and thus the PSP becomes hacked.

I only know 4 other friends who have a hacked PSP as well (we like to challenge each other in dissidia as well since we each got the japanese version)!

Lucky!!! The only thing stopping me from playing is that I don't have a PSP. What are your thoughts on the english version coming out in august?

I have a hacked PSP-1000 so, which is the best PSP to have for the hack. But I don't pirate PSP games. I use it for NES/SNES games.

Lol. We do the same ( i dont have a psp but they borrow me so we can play dissida). My friends dont like final fantasy but i convinced them to download dissida and now we play matchs at school. I mostly play as Terra and Tidus.
Try Locorroco or Pataon.Its fun.

That is an interesting list Kitmitsu... Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, All the Metal Gear games, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Killzone and Resistance.
Do people hack DSs? Maybe this is what is hurting portable sales? How is it easier to hack a PSP than a PS3. I am not a tech person, so I have no idea how to do all this.

The PSP can be hacked very easily. I'm not a fan of homebrew really though. The PS3 hasn't been successfully hacked (fully) yet making it the most secure console ever. The DS can be hacked using the R4 cartridge but the DSi has to be hacked with a new method which I don't remember.

I may not be able to play it (since the main reason I got my PSP hacked was because of my PSP not being able to play/ run UMD discs),but i'm definitely going to get it on my memory stick the moment it's out just to play another 400+ hrs. of dissidia with all of the english voice actors. Yes.....it should be quite interesting.

Really, I mostly play with either Squall, Jecht, Onion Knight, Sephiroth, or Kuja. But then again i've risen everyone up to level 100 so I really play with everyone. LOL
I'll take a look into those.

Thanks a lot for that list Kitmitsu.
I was thinking about titles as the page was loading... then I saw your list...
Nothing to add to it, really. That list is absolutely accurate and nothing is missing as far as I'm concerned. ;)

Frankly, if you own a PSP and don't have it modded...than your just plain "Doing it wrong".
Crisis Core
God of War (If you like button mashers)
Resistance
And some of the PSX re-releases
are the best PSP games.

Actually I have all of those. As for PSX games I basically use a PSX emulator on my PSP (as well as a N64 emulator).

-Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (I know it's on PS2 but I haven't played that version)
-LocoRoco
-Lumines (if you don't have it on your PSN/XBLA)
-Gradius (I think it's only 2 and 3 on psp version, I think)

I would recommend not getting MGS: Portable Ops.
It doesn't really add much to the overall Metal Gear story and the controls don't translate to the PSP very good.
Keep your eyes on Peace Walker though, Kojima's actually involved with that one.

I've heard good things about Crimson Gem Saga and Class Of Heroes. I haven't played them yet, but they're in my to-buy list for my next paycheck

If its hacked I've seen people use their pcs to put PS1 games on the memory card. You could get VII-IX on there, but I forgot how it mapped the L2/R2 on the psp. But you'de have to get a ripping program for ps games from a torrent or pirate forum
eehhhhhh...... maybe its not worth it. You could always go with SO1 and SO2, I'd never played them before they were on PSP.

I just play PS1 games through PS3 -> PSP, since I have just about every good PS1 game there ever was. And yeah, I have both SO1 & 2. Love them both!!!.
Anyways, thank you all for your suggestions (i've already compiled them all into one big list). I owe guys one!!
