in all of the other final fantasy games cid has been a character in your party, or has some coralation to what your doing in the game; i mean yeah he still does, but seriously come on, it just it makes no sense, then eventually he becomes a frog, its not until 3/4 into disc 3 that he is no longer a frog or an oglop. i just find that so idiotically retarded, not to be mean to the people who created the FF series; i will say that it did put an interesting twist on the game...

speaking of cid, i really like freya's final weapon "Cid's Spear"

His wife got pissed he was cheating on her and turned him into it, then they tried to fix it and he turned into a frog, then he made up with his wife and it turned him to normal, makes sense to me

I don't get why it's stupid. He's a regular human that through part of the backstory got turned into an oglop.

It's like a witch turning someone into a toad. It's actually something thats around in our folklore, so why can't it be in the game?

what a stupid question, have you played the game? if you have then why cant you keep up with such a basic part of the plot?

Freya's last weapon in ff9 was "dragon's hair" not cid's spear whatever that is

Yeah I don't get why it's stupid, it's just part of the plot. He wasn't always an oglop or a frog, he was still a human, and he's the Regent of a whole country so that's gotta count for something. I don't see how it's any different to being the Headmaster of a school or the leader of the Al Bhed.
