Ender's Game the movie

(This thread might be a tad late) Orson Scott Card has confirmed that Ender's Game is being made into a movie. He is already finished with the script and is assembling a production team.

I've enjoyed the books for years but I'm not particularly looking forward to a film version. Children don't make the greatest actors but would make up a good 90% of the cast of this film. I can also see them cutting out the violent bits.

Haven't they tried to make this into a movie many times? I've heard that OSC canceled it because he didn't like something or other. Clearly I'm quite knowledgeable on the movie's production. Anyway, do want. Nostalgia attack.

Yeah, they forced us to read the book in English class in 8th grade, so you sort of had to like it because they made you. I hope they don't cast that Halley Joel Osment as Ender, otherwise I'm going to have to load a bazooka and pay a little visit to their studio lot in Hollywood. What would be an even more interesting movie? Ender's Shadow. Or just have it be Ender's Game as usual, but with Bean narrating important plot points on occassion (and not from Bean's point of view the entire film).
