As horrible as it is to even think, what is your most hated Final fantasy? :P

Mine has to be, without compettition, FFX-2. That was was so bad. It was just service for fanboys. The battle system was pretty poor too.

- ATB Fills

- Choose attack

- ANOTHER ATB fills (wtf)

- Cast attack

repeat.

Why two ATBs? it was so annoying and pointless. And the Bezerker dressphere. :lmao: Old Japanese men loved that one, i bet. :P

I actually thought the X-2 system was okay but the X one was better. They tried to do something different by using the dress sphere system which of course isnt the most manly thing but its not exactly a manly game.

I really enjoyed X so i thought X-2 would have been a good game. I never completed it because it just seemed like a repeat of X at most parts. They did pretty well making a new game in exactly the same place but it cant have taken much effort using the same environments. I'd say its the worst FF i've played so far (still have to complete VIII and start IX) but it had pretty good FMVs and 1000 Words was a good song i thought...though real emotion was...hmm :P

i agree completly with FFX-2, i personly didnt not like the battle system and i think they should have stoped with FFX

Even though I enjoyed it, I'm going with X2.

Chapters, missons, boring as hell.

Though, I did like the dresspheres, and dissapearence of Sphere Grids, Trials and Blitzball.

I didnt like X-2 as such, but it finnaly cleared up that 'Will yuna ever meet Tidus again?' story. Im not a 'Tuna' or whatever Tidus X yuna is (No pun btw) but i thought it was cool how they were back together. Only i thought was strange was that the Perfect ending was no-where near as good as the good ending.

Still, i liked the graphics, Payne was cool, and Yunas gunslinger thingy was damn cool. My most hated is Final Fantasy 9. Shite characters (apart from vivi and that girl Albert fancies), mostly crappy music (apart from opening) and strangly long time until you can use summons. Only thing i did like was the 4 man team thing although that only made the enemies harder lol.

I haven't played all of them so I can't really say. But I don't agree with all you guys saying that X-2 sucked. I loved the game and I loved the fact that the story got to continue. The only thing that I didn't like in X-2 was blitzball. Two words, it sucked. But other than that I loved it. The two theme songs were really great to. I listen to them all the time. I can't believe no one else likes this game.

It wasnt very FFish to me. I dont know why it just didnt seem it. Also it was much too "girly" and corny for my liking.

"Your friendly neighboughood Gullwings!" killed me inside. :(

I cousin would kill me if i ever show her FFX or X-2 again. I told her it was bad but she didn't listen.

The worst to me? I would say 8, I had problems with it's story, characters, and play system the most. It looked nice and had a nice world with some neat things but it just felt like it was trying to hard to be liked.

yeah I felt that FF8 tried too much too but that was after I played the other FF's. the controls were awkward and once I completed it, i found the story wasnt as compelling as say FF7

I vote FFXI.

I have not played it and I know little about it ..just that you have pay monthly for it. Yup, thats its.

Atleast you didn't have to pay each time you played FFX-2.

My vote has to go to FFX-2. SE screwed up with this game. They transformed a game loved by everybody into a sequel that appealed to only few. Because it appealed to only a few, only a few bought it and actually liked it.

I think a much safer route would've been to play as Lord Braska and Auron and Sir Jecht. I think that that would've made for a much better game.

X-2 wasn't really that the battle system was interesting. The worst is XI, it just felt like a generic MMO

I love Paine. I am glad they made the game so I could meet her and play with her. I won't argue with the fact that they were all half naked in the video game but that wasn't the biggest disapppintment to me. It was the plot.

Seriously, after an amazing game they make a sequel that just sucked.

The battle system was pretty cool I liked the Dress Spheres and the special ones.

There was no improvement in the graphics and Yuna's face looked different from FFX...

But yeah FFX-2 sucks, plot-wise.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals is not that good either but I like the battle system, the creation of characters and how you can play with your friends.

It's a fun game. I've beat it twice and I'm on the first chapter a third time. I just thought that the plot could've been better. I mean FFX made me cry (sshh, it's a secret) and FFX-2 was like... Meh. They should've re-used characters instead of making a bunch of new ones. If Yuna went from dress to shorts Lulu could too! XD

That I will agree with you on. Most of the characters who returned in X-2 kept the same clothes. I think everyone should have gotten a wardrobe change.

Yuna could've been covered up. I really liked her kimono-like dress in FFX.

And Rikku wasn't afraid of thunder and lightning... I wonder why.

They had a good reason during the game. She said she camped a week in the tunderplains to overcome the fear.

That whole forge system in FFVIII just screwed up my fun with this game. And that everytime you gained a level. The monster or boss would gain a level as well. Which I figured heck, I'd rather just use the GameShark and get it over with. Instead of having to sit through and gain that particular item to forge that weapon.

And FFX-2 which had a "Charlie's Angels" theme to it. Using an all female cast (Yuna, Rikku and Paine). Which I just wasn't interested in the story at all.

I just remembered what the worst part of FFX-2 is that Sphere stuff. That crap is so annoying I can't win against Shinra and I really want Lady Luck =( I'm playing the game a third time and I still can't do it. Shinra... :lol: he's so cute "I know everything." And this game doesn't have a Summoner Dress Sphere, it should even though the Fayth died they should be able to capture monsters and summon them into battle.

I hate the Colored Chocobos stuff in FFVII.

WHAT??!! that was the best part in FFVII! you got the KOTR by building your chocobo and that was very handy when it came to fighting the Weapons. Not to mention how cool they looked after they changed colour.

But it's so hard. My friend who has completed FF7 so many times (8 or more...) always complains when she gets to that part. So do I. =(

Cool! I didnt realise you could get different coloured chocobos in FFXI, really wish i played that when it came out :/

I never actually tried the Chocobo breeding when i played FFVII. I wish I did now >_<

I guess most about X-2 has been said. but mission FTW?! god bless the disc was scratched at the time I put it into my machine so I got stuck at the first ch2 FMV. I was horrificly bored by that time anyways. Guess I'll try to sell it away...and Yuna's COMPLETELY different from X. and were the designers hot when they designed the clothes? it looks like a pervo-game, goddamit! I'm a sixteen year old boy, but I got limits to where a game is enjoyable or a just a cheap fantasy/playboy hybrid...I PLAY GAMES FOR FUUUUUN!!!!!

Final Fantasy II is by far the worst game in the series. It's just so terrible - the character advancement system is a horrible broken mess that just does not work at all. You end up having your characters repeatedly attacking eachother, just to try to raise your HP and strength stats. That's just not right - you're supposed to be fighting the monsters, not your own characters!

I'm surprised the series was able to continue after that piece of junk got released. It's the only FF game I've played that I have not enjoyed.

FF10-2 without a doubt the worst. Lame story, cliche characters, girly, belh... makes me sick that it has a character named "Shinra."

Why do people hate FF9? That would have been the best FF ever if FF7 was never made.

I didn't like FFX-2 much at all... The dress spheres or whatever just reminded me TOO much of sailor moon... I mean come on, transforming from one outfit to another with pretty lights and sparkles to boot? Aiyah. Didn't really feel like X's sequel at all.

I disliked FFVIII also... I disliked the characters (except for Quistis. She was cool) and the plot got really dry eventually.

I thought the plot is cool when I watched the trailer but...arg... It's so boring. Beside, I want Vaan x Ashes ><

I think FFVIII had a good story. I also like how you delve into the other characters, their relationships, their past, etc. I really liked going back in time as Laguna. I wish there was more of that. FFX-2 was...yeah, pretty bad. I mean, it was fun in a way but honestly, I don't think of it as a Final Fantasy. Pretty much any sequels to me aren't Final Fantsies, because they try to change so much. I mean...if it's the same people (mostly) and the same world...wouldn't say, the battle system be the same? I did kind of like the battle system in FFX-2, but the story just made me sick.

I used to hate FFIX, but now that I've grown up a little, I realize the actual storyline isn't that horrible. One of my biggest problems is the chibi style, seriously, wth?

Never played FFXI...but it honestly doesn't seem like a FF to me either.

Don't think I've played I or II...so they're up for grabs. I'm guessing one of them probably is the worst just because they were so new, and didn't they like...not have characters really or anything?

BTW...am I the oldest person on here? Seems like. I feel like a creep, only a little though, lol

Back to topic: I used to think that ff9 was the worst ff but having matured a little i now think ffxi is the worst god damn ff ever. the whole idea of playing it online was stupid imo.

It is the biggest salute to FF out of all Final Fantasy Games. Brings back weapons, magic, classes, characters, events that people have forgotten or didn't know existed. This is because it is made by the Tanaka, the guy involved in FF1-3, Secret of Mana, and Chrono trigger. Really is something.

Good to see another FFVIII fan! I was starting to think I was the only one here... It was the first FF I played and it's still my favourite of the series, I loved the characters, the storyline, the sci-fi modern setting and I can't say I had any trouble with the battle system or the junctioning, it just clicked with me, I guess.

I would have loved to have seen more of Laguna too, as he is my favourite FF character of the whole series. It would have been great to see more of his adventures in the Galbadian army and more of the relationship between him and Raine (the best FF romance/love story ever, in my opinion).

FFVIII also had one of the best soundtracks of the series - Liberi Fatali, Eyes on Me, the whole ending theme - all classic stuff from Nobuo Uematsu.
