Vanille 3D Fan Model

Here is a fan model I'm working on in a program called Blender. The face is a little different than the real one, and the costume still needs a lot of work, because the beads are a little messed up.

I will probably make Lightning at some point this summer, too.
Feel free to use these images for sigs or whatever you like, if you want to.

Wow I never thought you could do THAT with blender. I've tried it once, but I don't really like the interface... I use (a pirated version of) Autodesk 3DS max, but I'm not really good in it.

Sculpting the actual model takes many hours, but posing and rendering only takes about 2 hours total per image.

Yeah, it's very hard, and that's the reason why I have a lot of respect for game developers, I would like to become one too, but I can't draw, so I can't create 3d objects.
(except a blocky face with just a cube and edit polygon)
Also I'm not very good in mathematics (high school level) so I can't become a programmer ...

The posing and rendering process can actually go very quickly, if you want; Just several minutes if you rush it.
However, in actuality, you always seem to get caught up in fixing details: 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, until a couple hours has gone by...

Yes, 3D can be naughty, I'm not sure how far I want to corrupt people's view of Vanille...

Very nice, and you used Blender? I am trying to learn but finding it hard to get my mind wrapped around everything.

Thanks. One thing that is annoying is that faces and edges have to be selected by their vertices, and a few other annoying things, but it is FREE!
Have you used another 3D program before?

Is blender easy to use compared to other programs(if you tried others)? Like is the interface easy to go through? I always wanted to try 3d modeling myself.

If you haven't used 3D before, I would recommend Poser to get started with, because it isn't too hard to learn. Blender is great because its free and quite powerful, but it is NOT usually used in the game or film industry, and it takes a bit longer to learn than programs like Maya or 3DS Max.

I just downloaded it. I'm using the tutorial thing that was in the help menu. This program is pretty awesome and will be even more fun once I get used to the interface. Your vanille characters looks great btw. Hope you post more up!
