Well, do you?
For the uninitiated, Super Sentai is a Japanese action show. It's probably better known to you as Power Rangers, but Sentai shares little with it's deformed, illiterate brother.
Super Sentai has been going for 34 years, each year following new heroes, a new story and a new theme. Disney then buys the footage, cuts out all the asian actors, changes the story into something truly terrible and then duct tapes the whole thing together into an awful mess.
Sentai storylines are much more developed than PR's excuse for stories. For instance, Mahou Sentai Magiranger told the story of rangers who were all siblings dealing with the death of a family member. It had older siblings trying to deal with new-found responsibility, younger siblings with school crushes, everything a family goes through. The story was just as important as the fights.
If it sounds like I'm trying hard to separate Sentai from Power Rangers, it's because I am. Lots of people dismiss watching this show because "it's just Power Rangers". It's not. If you like watching anime, you will like watching Sentai, I promise you.
If you are interested at all, I would recommend starting with Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. It's one of the more adult seasons, it has a great story and set of characters, and the fight sequences in this season have been especially well choreographed. Again, if you like anime like Naruto or Sengoku Basara, you will like this show. You can find it subbed here www.tvnihon.com
Music video to give you a taste (even if it is mostly fighting): YouTube - Samurai Sentai Shinkenger MV: Fight! Shinkenger!!!
