Its obvious that NA Final Fantasy VII: ACC won't be bundled with an NA Demo. My question is, will they ever release a North American Demo for us or what?

Do you think they'll find a way to bundle it with another game or something later in the year? Or Download off the PS Store?

EDIT: My question is answered via that news post by Kimitsu. You can close it.

I think the NA FFACC will just get a "hopefully new" HD english trailer similar to the E3 2008 trailer, but I also think that we'll get a demo a few months before the release on PS store. There need to be another demo which shows all the gameplay features.

Maybe a demo bundled with The Last Remnant on PS3, but that's very unlikely.

well i hope so, but i highly doubt it
cus' Microsoft made a big deal that if the xbox can't get the demo
that the PS3 can't either, and i find that a very stupid reason
i'm still mad that FFXIII is coming to the xbox, whatever i'm getting for the PS3 anyway

I wouldn't be surprised if the US never did get a demo.

That demo with FFACC didn't even feature menu's, customization, level-up,... I'm sure there will be an English demo, but maybe at (this) E3, TGS or other gaming "party's"!

It would be so cool if they gave them out exclusive at E3 2009. Which is something they'd never do! But maybe they will find a way.

I don't even reckon Squenix will be translating the game until after they've finished the Jp version. And then there's M$ and their bullshit to get around. So don't expect a second demo being released anywhere, on either platform, until either very late this year or early next year. I don't resent the 360 port, but as a company Microsoft are horrible to their userbase. (I'm kind of angry with them right now, having had my second RRoD yesterday though)

I'm not really worried about the 360, I have a PS3: That's all I know and need to know. :P

if they relase a demo here, chances are it will be online (when was the last time a demo disc was packaged in with a game?), and it would be probably be shorter seeing as how the demo that came on the blu ray was about 5 gigs, and i think there is a file size limit on demos for xbox 360.

I still feel that they can just release it on the PlayStation Store albeit it would take a long time for me. In the future I plan on getting a bomb ISP though. If not the store, then I don't know what they could possibly bundle it with.

If they release a demo, it won't have uncompressed trailers for Agito and Versus and ergo wont be 5 gigs. In fact, due to space constraints, the in-demo FMVs might see a compression too. I'm sure they'll find a way to make a downloadable demo possible (maybe a 2 part demo). The games undergone pretty drastic changes since the Japanese demo build, according to SE, so I wouldn't even expect the same demo.

Square Enix stated in recent interviews that the English translation started a long time ago and is simultaneous with the Japanese game.

I'm not sure about the 360 Demo, there hasn't been any word about a North American Demo period. We'll have to wait and see.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read somewhere that the demo would become playable @
E3 in June. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta will be bundled with the Limited edition of InFamous...

I'm going to sit here until someone other than myself realises the absurdity.

What? SquareEnix releasing an English demo at a Japanese game convention? That seems totally logical to me :wtf:

Anyway, a western demo seems extremely unlikely, unless SE feels like something that will be released between now and the FFXIII release needs help selling. Last Remnant PS3 doesn't seem likely since the game appears to be dead in the water. I'd be more surprised by it's release than a western demo.

Don't know about it at E3, I feel doubtful about it though there's always a perchance.

"Purchase an E3 Ticket now and get an exclusive FFXIII Demo"
That would own, I still think they need to promote it more and build some anticipation for the Western audience.

There's confirmation that the Western adueince won't get a demo because if they release it for he P23, it would have to be on the 360 as well.

that doesnt mean we wont get a demo, that means we wont get a demo until next year, they could release a demo after they finish porting.

i think there might be a demo sometime next year, like much closer to the release.

That too would be good, but they could start building up the NA crowd's anticipation. I feel we're likely to get a release, the problem is they can't release for one system in NA. It has to be both 360 and PS3.

I really don't get why it has to be for both, I mean ps3 is the lead

If they release a demo on PS store, I hope it's free. I've got EU,NA and JP PSN accounts so I'm ready.

The PS3 might be the lead, as you call it, but the average joe who isn't obssessed about video games doesn't know most of these facts.

He'd feel cheated that although the game is advertized for the 360(via Live), only the PS3 has a playable demo...

It's really not that hard to figure some reasons to why the demo should be for both consoles.

But your contradiction habits most likely prevent you from seeing those reasons.

Loads of games get 360 exclusive demos, or at least timed exclusive demos. Resident Evil 5 did and that didn't stop the PS3 version selling well. Who cares?

I bet more people would be pissed off that they have to wait or not get one for PS3 just because the 360 version doesn't get one.

There are countless timed exclusives when it comes to demo (most have a week) but I can't see a single release that had a demo being (completely) exlusive to the 360, and vice-versa.

Valid point, this basically boils down to common sense. thinking other wise would just be biased thinking. It does not matter what one console holds over the latter, marketing does not work that way.

Why give one console a demo and not make money by not giving the other the demo as well? like I said, in the marketing world is about having common sense and finding the better avenues to getting your product out there.

I Agree here. I mean the XBOX 360 was like an announcement out of nowhere for many of the fans. Alot of them were aghast by this and so it was crucial. It should still be a PS3 Demo release later to show the power that Square Enix can use on the PS3. I heard it uses almost all of the PS3's power.

I see the reasons, I really do, but considering the main reason is 360 owners will be upset really pisses me off, considering the game itself it's going to be delayed to release at the same time as the 360, I mean a ps3 demo is obvious easily readable with very little work, making us have to wait for them to finish a 360 one is just bs in my opinion
