In March I did a bunch of personal projects, composing music to Yoshitaka Amano's art work and Final Fantasy XIII images.

I don't think The Chosen and Metal Fish are mixed pro enough to put on youtube. besides I have ton of BLAME! that I did that I want to put on youtube sometime. Crazzy cool dark music that uses a lot of Biomechnoids Patches for Absynth3 and Ohmforces Ohmicide plugin Cool shit!
That I'll put on youtube sometime. Maybe I will put all the FFXII vids on youtube later. I would do after I had everything mixed but working on other music now.

With what kind of sequencer did you made this? You also used EWQLSO for this, right? My first impression is that I like it!

hey yea Why don't I talk about what I used.
I did a bunch of personal projects in March as test for East West PLAY Libs. (still have lot's to mix)
Now my orchestra hall sounds are not quite there the instruments are not quite in the hall right. I have GOLD PRO XP not Platinum so the mics are just staged mics.
I just bought Altiverb6 so I can set up template that sounds like the real orchestra.
Also the runs sound to muddy(but there the runs in PLAY)
to try and get better hall sound I used SampleCity's IR Lexicon 960 on the patches to make them wetter.
I played the BOS 290 from EastWest PLAY lib for Me_Akeru it took some practice to get used to it. Damn amazing piano samples though!!!
So the PLAY libs I am using in Cubase 4 are Gypsy, Gold Pro Orchestra, and Pianos.
the other sounds are from Absynth3 Biomechnoid samples and Ohmforce 's Ohmicide. FX, UAD2 Moog filter.
May have used some patches in Kontakt2 too.
I compose music first on paper then arrange it and produce it in the Cubase 4.
The vids are cool though I timed the pics to the accents of the music. the music that I have done so far is composed to fit FFXIII universe, the pics I am looking at.
Here's hoping they release some more pics of something other then demo!

I also want to mention that I used PLAY libs on purpose just those libs, I was testing them out for the first time. The next mixes will be multiple libs not just PLAY and will have Altiverb on them as multiple group busses.
I Like dark pianos but Japan likes the Steinway, that's a brighter sounding grand then the Bosedorfer 290. The next song that has some piano in it I'll use the Steinway.

hey great! Next time I'll post three more. Wait and see if some new Areas of the game show up so I don't use the same pics over and over again. Nice is there was some Summon shots full screen for one of the boss themes I did.
OH forgot to mention I also used PLAY Storm Drum 2.

Hey Strangecat, would it be possible to re-encode these in MP3 form? I don't care for the videos, and I just don't like the way the files will open the Movie portion of my player every time it's their turn on my playlist.
(Yeah, as you can see from the fact that they're part of my playlist, they ARE quite good. Keep up the good work.)

ok man Man I'll do this for you. I am not a mastering engineer so I am always a little iffy on the mp3 side of things. I already have to wear an insane amount of hats as it is. *and being a audio engineer too meh*
I'll go back and make mp3's and post the link here as a zip that's current.
I'll make future mp3's as well but still vids even if it's one picture.

Yo! I am amazed how there aren't to many replies.
Yea i am working on stuff.(working on dark cyberpunk soundtrack)
Using samples is wearing to many hats.

I am not sure if I am going out tomorrow night so I'll try and have that boss piece uploaded. hard to mix with it being so damn hot! Turn air conditioner on , oh great to loud to hear mix, to hot to turn off LOL!!!

Boss music. This is....different...
There were 150 tracks in this piece no joke.

I'll be back in July. I did compose a piece looking at the new footage of the E3 Vid. The music is about those who are cursed, it's dark and dramatic.
I also want to share the other two jpop songs I composed in March!!(I haven't arranged or done production on them at all yet)

In music for comedy there are lot's of pizzicatos and wind swirls or arpeggios. Generally the music will change keys a lot and and a lot of abrupt answering phrases after ideas (motifs)
There is a lot of comedy in this piece hence all the Sahz pics LOL!!!!

sorry fans I don't think I will be able to find time to record and produce any more FFXIII fan music, or the other two songs I did for FXIII.
The Sound track I am doing now is taking up all my time now.
Hey if I ever find time to get back to it I'll post it up^_-
I am also interested in anything you do besides your FFXIII thing!

I am going to try and get a track up on a web page for the soundtrack, every thing will be before pro mastering though.
At the moment I am composing an Ambiant IDM style song. When I think about this style it's always Bjork that comes to mind. Yoko kanno did this style in Ghost in the Shell Second gig. And there tons of artist that dip into too. Anywayz I'll share crap sometime^_-
