Is this the issue with Square's new action game? If so, what is it?

Just a question, do you have the demo?

That is, without doubt, the best article about FFXIII written by a Western magazine. They explained the battle system well, had interesting combat impressions and didn't make a single mistake with the story. I think the thing that helped the most was that the writer wasn't afraid to say "we don't know yet". Most Western magazines have just made shit up to fill in the gaps. Congrats on someone finally doing it right. =D

I was particularly impressed by this-

"You can manually decide when to begin and end your turns."

That's one of the biggest differences between this system and the old ones, and it goes straight over a lot of people's heads. That did a good job of explaning it with that sentence.

No, I don't have the demo, but I'll deffinately get it when it comes to the US.
And I have no idea what the action game is, but they also had a page about that that I'll put up here too....
There you go:

...this guy looks cool.

He looks like he's designed for western sensibilities, with that barbarian-style clothing. =P I don't know if I can forgive him for making such a mess out of his sword, though, since it looks so much like the Buster Sword (doesn't he know use brings about wear, tear, and rust?). ;)

The rust/blood reminds me of Pyramid Head's sword kinda.

Kinda looks like a wannabe Kratos. To me at least.

Not bad for a western magazine. The new dude looks like a hybrid of many other characters from other franchises though.

Oh look a new game that's meant to target western audiences! Just like The Conqueror from TLR. :cookie:
