FFXIII on cover of Famitsu PS3 - 30th April

(Placed in the FFXIII Section because it isn't really news yet yet yet yet ...)

The cover for the next Famitsu PS3 is up and has the Lightning-Cocoon-Snow image of FFXIII all over the cover!! It's going to be released in 2 days and I wonder if we finally are going to see some new screens of other locations or more of the battle system:

If you translate the famitsu page with google translate the title at the top of the column of XIII says: "Features" and because of this and the big cover image I'm sure that we'll see something "new"^_^ What do you think?

(Also I've got the demo and I don't think the servers of this site can't handle how much I love it:) But it's a little bit too linear and Snow's part seems shorter than Lightning's. And I can't beat that Final Boss>_<)

Actually I'd be more prone to buying something that had something new on the cover rather then a picture I've seen multiple times before. So your logic really doesn't make any sense. Plus the cover gives you an idea what's

going to be inside the magazine, and considering that image is associated with the demo, I just get the feeling that nothing new is going to be shown this time and its just going to be the like the 8th re-cap of the battle system and characters.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete is listed next to Final Fantasy XIII, so it's probably just more demo stuff. It's weird, though, 'cause practically every Japanese gaming mag has gone over all of that information several times already.

I guess we might be able to hope for a new interview or something, though. =P

it makes every sense. they dont spoil new images on the cover EVER. the cover is always shown before the magazine is on the shelves so that would b a big spoiler. they probably sell better this way, since most times they promise news and its just small details about the game. either way dont worry about the magazine, it will sell well like always regardless of your marketing views.

that might be true, unless famitsu paid good money for new screens or a big announcement first-hand it wouldnt make sense to reveal anything significant before e3 or some other big videogame event.

i think thats kinda weird but i've never played any dragon quest since when it was called dragon warrior blah blah blah...

i would also appreciate some new information/pictures instead of the same shown picture above and more information about the battle system

Well if you think of the pattern they release information in, we know that they release scans and first and then they just show them all in motion in a trailer. I guess this is it and then we have to wait until E3 right?
I just hope it's not just about Final Fantasy XIII again, I'd really like them to show off their other games (Birth By Sleep, Versus, and Agito)

ffxiii is the only one I'm really looking forward to, so i'll be happy with a few new screens of that. FF non-numbered games are never as good as the originals. I think that everybody is gaga over versus just because it's dark. Dark themes are in style right now.

Are you really presuming that Famitsu is going to publish the same stuff about the demo two months in a row?

That's not the way they do things.
If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if the issue included some new interviews and screenshots of the game. If it's on the cover, it's most likely because there's going to be multiple pages about the game inside.

And as far as I'm concerned, this cover image is associated with FINAL FANTASY XIII. Not just the demo.

Indeed, the game on a Famitsu cover usually has a lot of pages about that game together with some new screens (Hopefully some about that Dahlia Lake )

I only have fear that we won't see the scans quikly because FFXIII in the last famitsu PS3 was scanned and found on the web 2 weeks later (and I had recieved my copy already.)
Also I think we missed the V-Jump scans of this month from FFXIII. They usually have 2 pages with new (small) screens of FFXIII (They introduced Sazh and showed new pictures of Maqui, Gadot and Lebreau past months.)
