What do you really think it means to be blessed by the death goddess?
Yes, Noctis and Stella are said to have gained great power from her and the crystals. But what other than power does that mean? Noctis doesn't seem to be to happy with his life of constantly fighting, and Stella surly doesn't want to fight him. So maybe you're not blessed by the goddess, but rather cursed. Left to play a futile game of cat and mouse over the crystal as the goddess and other people use you like a weapon.

Yeah. Lots of time religions have been started based on lies. In 13 a whole government is founded in a religion that forced people to build a fort and then forced them out. Stuff like that happens in REAL LIFE. Like how women are treated due to religious beliefs. I hope Noctis doesn't want to be "a normal guy", but I KNOW he's tried of fighting. Some say he'll die at the end. It is a tragedy this time.

I agree with that. I just hope that the battle style is better then in 12. Hope that Noctis and Stella dont die though

Chances are both won't die.
As I hear it, the battle style'll be a dark or more realistic version of KH games. Action/RPG style with tumbling and swordplay. Tetsuya said something able huge height differences in the landscape. Like jumping from building to building and then taking the fight to the streets. That's just what I hear though. Hope it's true.

I think the power that he gets is probably the stuff we saw in the first trailer (with the blood in it lol)... the hoard of weapons, teleporting and what not? I mean they didn't say "he lives fighting" for the moment ._. did they? Er I feel like I'm missing something ._.

Hmm, that's a good question. Probably this 'light' is the reason why their eyes changes color and why they are able to materialize weapons or those crests they use and the abilities we saw Noctis using from the first trailer like cheesepizza says.

But I wonder, how many out there are able to see the 'light'? So far it is Noctis and Stella and probably that White Robed Man because he has the same abilities.

I think his bladed weapons (spears and swords) form from shards of crystals, Cheese.

I'm glad you brought up the White Robed Man. I think he may be a white mage, and until now, those have always been good. I'd love for a dark game like Versus to flip the script like that.

(...yeah, i think the weapons are from crystal shards too.) Hmm maybe Noctis and the others who can see the light are just like the l'cie, and Lightning, whos forced to do the will of the crystal whatsoever.. And powers are always both a blessing and a curse.. Just like what Noctis had stated, that being different from others can bring about trouble..So i guess that the majority of humans in versus don't have special powers...just like us humans.

Oh, i guess that was rather confusing.... >.<

^I remember someone said that L'Cie will exist in Versus as well, since all of the Fabula Nova Crystallis games has same mythology elements.
Since this game is trying to show us reality inside, I guess human cannot use magic, but only the one that are able to see the 'light'.
Perhaps there is some sort of tool that people can use magic...? Like materia in FFVII or like the Espers in FFVI?

I think what you're thinking might be it. Why else would he look so depressed? I think it's also gotta do with his mob-like family too. And sooner or later I bet he'll have to choose who to side with, his friends, his family, or his kinder spirit (Stella).

I hope anyone can use magic to some extent. Like if you're not a l'Cie, you use elemental items (weapons). Like a spear that taps into a battery source to stun foes with electricity.
